Nice update for 2012 Float 32

I used to use RWC seals which were better (better glide, longer life) than Fox seals. I have a tool to install rwc. As with removing old seals, you need to heat the fork. I submerged the top of my bottoms in boiling water which significantly softened the seals, same goes for the installation. These seals are compatible with the new gold fork oil - I think the new oil is a huge upgrade too. I think these new seals are just as good. like RWC seals. Use a small amount of lipoleum (same as sticky…

Pros
  • This is great

I have to say I was very disappointed in these

I have to say I was very disappointed in these. I've always been a FOX fan and with 15 years of bike shop experience I figured the reviews complaining about the fit were just people not knowing what they were doing. I was trying to fit a 2013 32mm fork. They were torture to get in. Of course I don't have an official tool, but in the past I've always used PVC pipes without any problems. Since they don't have a flange and don't actually fit, it was almost impossible to get a proper and consistent

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Don't buy older 32mm forks

They don't fit my 2006 F80X. They are, as others have pointed out on the old 32mm forks, too narrow. The Fox service manual says they should go in with a thumbs up. Fox makes a tool to install them, a fancy piece that can be replaced with PVC pipe or something to apply even pressure. I used old gaskets as a driver for even pressure. It didn't help. They're so tight they can't even slide into 32mm holes. The holes, not by accident, have been lightly sanded and cleaned of all the old gasket…

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Minimal issues installing Fox Dust wipers

I have installed 32mm Fox Dust wipers (#830-00-944 B) on a 2010 140mm Fox RL fork with no issues. It took me about 3-4 minutes per foot to carefully align the gaskets with the Unior gasket setting tool. I left the seals flush about 1/32" over (see inset drawings). I placed the fork on a rubber mat with a board underneath and hit the mortise guide with a plastic mallet. used no more than 5 pounds of shock thrust. Earlier this week got it I have installed two sets of SKF flange seals on two other
