I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

Video: The lens was bought in tandem with the X-T20, mostly for video. He copes with this task perfectly. The stub at a wide angle freezes the picture and you can safely shoot it handheld, without the use of additional equipment. At the long end, it is already more difficult to fix the frame and sometimes there are twitches. Perhaps, on the X-T4 or X-H1, due to matrix stabilization, everything will be fine even at 55mm. Otherwise, for amateur travel video without an IBIS system in the carcass…

Pros
  • - Versatility - Assembly, materials - Stabilization - Secondary market price - Aperture at wide angle
Cons
  • - Aperture ring without stop - Price for new - No WR

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

The disadvantage with the front lens was not found on my copy. When I write a review, the price is around 37 thousand, probably a little expensive. But I snatched a new one for 25 three months ago, this price seems adequate to me. Over the past 3 months, I mainly take photos of them, they can be seen at the link https://ipbatman. Blogspot. Com/search/label/%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B3 %D1%80%D0%B0%D1%84%D0%B8%D1%8F

Pros
  • According to the first impressions, this is of course a material, knocked down, dense, it is clear that you are holding a quality thing. Compared to the Fujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ, it makes no difference to me when to shoot: day, night, twilight. There is enough light for everything. I regret that I bought my X-T30 with XC 15-45, and not immediately with XF 18-55. And of course, this is the absence of a mechanized zoom like on the XC 15-45, this is getting rid of the hellishly uncomfortable "nonsense", it's like the first breath after a long immersion in water.
Cons
  • Sucks up dust particles

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

Keith is the best of the best. It will replace three fixes and you don’t have to worry about reinstalling them, the more focus on it is faster. Has pros: Excellent features! At the same time, it is lightweight and comfortable. $500 is not the price for such a lens. Different cons: I haven’t revealed it yet, well, maybe a light aperture ring, but it doesn’t bother me.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

As a versatile everyday lens, it fits just fine. But still, having such a carcass on hand, I want to play serious instruments) a fan of viltrox 85mm 1.8 II will soon post material on it. As I wrote earlier, the pictures can be found here: ? utm_medium=copy_link Different pros: An excellent lens for my money (itcomst me cheap, because it went like a whale with an XT-30. For the first time, it wascommpletely enough, but still, not a portrait lens ( Examples of pictures with parameters can be…

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

Who cares about the size of the lens with the size / quality ratio, then you can use it. But for serious filming, it is not suitable, however, like all Fuji cameras, no matter how hard marketers and corrupt bloggers try. Has some pros The advantage is that this is really a kit lens, not plastic and the cheapest as it usually happens in sets of photographic equipment. For ordinary users, it will seem good, if you do not take all custom-made laudatory reviews. Has cons: I have been using it for…

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

I decided to temporarily take a lower class carcass, but with this lens. Completely satisfied. Here are a few photos that I managed to take with them for a couple of months of use. Different pros: Compact, good aperture, built-in stabilizer and fast autofocus. If you need a universal lens for everything or have not decided on the genre of photography, then this is perhaps the best choice. There is an even more expensive XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R, but not only is it more expensive, it also weighs 655g…

The perfect product for any user!

If it weren't for the stabilizer and the difficulties with backlighting - a fire lens for its class and price. From competitors for this money, a similar picture can only be obtained from a fix, and even then not for everyone. Whales of other brands with this lens are even ridiculous to compare. De jure a whale lens, de facto quite a middle class confident zoom for every day, especially if you are an amateur or the budget for a photo system is limited. Most of all in the picture 18-55 I was…

Pros
  • + Nice non-whale picture with luxurious color and even pattern. The lens is exactly soft, not soapy :) + Solid durable constructive non-whale level; + There is an aperture ring; + If anyone cares - the lens is compact and quite light, despite the solid assembly;
Cons
  • -Low detail and average sharpness at most focal lengths and apertures, and especially not pleased with angles closer to 50mm; -Stabilizer. It is not needed here - the lens is not professional, it squanders the picture, the price is higher because of it, and the aperture ratio is lower; -It doesn’t cope with backlight at all, even for a whale it’s too much;

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

The lens is excellent and bad at the same time. It is excellent for its picture in combination with dimensions and a larger aperture than usual for compact zooms. Actually half a foot, but more. It is also made very high quality, although there is no weather protection in it, the metal in the construction warms the soul and cools the hands. It is bad because it is sold for almost the same price for which you can buy professional lenses in other systems. Although the fuji system itself is…

Pros
  • Image quality, design, dimensions
Cons
  • Price, price, price again No aperture scale like on some other fuji lenses

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

The zoom lens is just great. Everyone wants a more or less bright zoom and that it is cheap, but this does not happen. Comparing it for price and for anything else with whales from other manufacturers is stupid and inappropriate. The picture gives a good, everything is sharp and beautiful. They wrote here about the fact that the backlight does not hold - maybe a specific instance does not hold, or some kind of filter was screwed up, because this summer, being in Turkey, I shot a lot against the

Pros
  • Versatility, dimensions, tactile sensations, appearance
Cons
  • The front lens staggers in the body, even though you put it on glue, You need to get used to the aperture ring - it easily gets lost from a light touch, it does not have a limiter and a scale

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

The Fujifilm XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is much more than just a kit lens. Sharp in the center already at F2.8, but at 55mm, optimal sharpness is only achieved after F8. The situation is similar with sharpness at the edges, with the same limitation at 55mm. However, apertures of F2.8 at 18mm and F4 at 55mm provide a very good basis for creating great shots. And even a 7-bladed aperture allows us to form a good background blur (bokeh). There is practically no vignetting, chromatic…

Pros
  • Build quality, metal construction Characteristics of a completely non-whale lens Versatility, suitable for solving a wide range of photo tasks Focus speed and accuracy
Cons
  • Perhaps only the price, but this is not a drawback if you objectively look at fuji lenses

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best price for this product, will buy more!

Very good glass, perfect for travel. On all trips he was a reliable companion. Wherever he was at sea, and in Europe, and in the cities of 2022, he never failed at home either. Filmed at night even for 1/2 sec. at 18mm - sharply through the frame. It is better to take in a whale with a carcass, it is much cheaper. I advise everyone, 16-55 2.8 I don’t even want to. I've been using it for 3.5 years and have no complaints.

Pros
  • Aperture, about a stop higher than ordinary whales 2.8-4 versus 3.5-5.6. Stabilizer, because of this, you can prefer it to the much more expensive 16-55. Sharpness. Versatility. Build quality. Lightweight and small.
Cons
  • We have already written about the front lens, it really is not fixed tightly. Sharpness at the long end is worse than at the short end. The aperture control is electronic, and focusing is a plus for someone, not for me. Washes in the corners. No dust protection.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Of course, not everything is so pessimistic, because. The lens gives a very good picture and in general I always liked it. At the same time, however, I would not say that in terms of sharpness and pattern it is radically better than the most simple Fujik zoom XC 16-50 f / 3.5-5.6. In terms of resistance to hares - yes, better. In terms of aperture and stub - too. But in terms of drawing, he surpasses him quite a bit. Therefore, if you get this lens as a whale lens, then yes, you are really…

Pros
  • - Aperture. For whale glass, f / 2.8-4 is very good. Usually for amateur zooms it is f / 3.5-5.6; - Pretty good drawing. It’s even stupid to compare with the picture of those 18-55 bayonet gags that come with budget DSLRs kenon and nikon, because. the comparison is not in favor of the latter. But the truth is Fujik and costs according to its optical quality; - Pleasant to the touch materials. In terms of quality of materials and tactile sensations, this is truly the best whale glass I have ever seen; - There is an aperture ring. Although electronic and too easily rotated, but there is. Switching the lever on the body to position "A" disables this ring and puts the camera in program or shutter priority mode; - The stub is also quickly turned off by the second lever, which is good. (Fujik's XC50-230 telephoto, for example, has a stub, but to turn it off, you have to go into the menu). The stub itself here, by the way, is very effective, which, along with aperture, allows you to shoot in really difficult lighting conditions. Making a sharp shot at a shutter speed of 1/8 is real; - Lightness, compactness, inconspicuousness.
Cons
  • I don’t know why in all tests and reviews everyone unanimously scatters in praise of the build quality of this glass. There are really no complaints about the materials. To the picture, as it were, too, but . But the assembly, to put it mildly, was unpleasantly surprised: at some point, I began to wipe the front lens and . I found that from a fairly light touch with a cloth or an optics pencil, it falls quite deep - by 2 millimeters! Then, as if spring-loaded from the inside, it nevertheless returns to its previous position, but at the same time it is also not always clear - it can stand up skewed, and you have to move it slightly again so that it comes to its regular position. It is quite obvious that the lens, about which all reviewers say that it is all such a warm lamp and metal, obviously should not be like this, because this cannot but affect the picture. I already wanted to carry the lens to the service, because. I thought I got a marriage, but I asked a question on the fujifilm-x. Ru forum - and it turned out that for this model this is a completely standard drawback! In general, cellmates are advised to simply screw on the protective filter and, if the sharpness suits you, forget about this flaw once and for all. But personally, it somehow did not suit me. The very realization that the lens from an accidental touch or from shaking like this could easily "float" the optical circuit was simply depressing. In the end, I spit on the toad and bought myself an XF16-55 f / 2.8 - that's where the real quality is! - Well, this lens was leaked in the secondary market. The buyer, however, was not at all embarrassed by such a constructive glass. So if you, too, "it is more important to go than checkers" - well, it's my job to warn :) You can buy, because. the rest of the glass is normal.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

I had three 18-55 / 2.8 lenses. Filmed on X-T3. He has 26 megs. In terms of FF, it turns out 52 mega. T, e is very demanding on the quality of optics. All three lenses are different. 1st. Gives a good picture at 18mm and blurry at 55mm (open aperture). 2nd. Gives a blurry picture at 18mm and a sharp picture at 55mm. He left him. Since at telephoto it is very desirable to shoot at an open aperture, because the blurs are large and you have to keep short shutter speeds. The first one was sold on…

Pros
  • A good and fast lens for a whale. The picture is average. Very good for a whale. Oberrations are small. Serious advantage - light and compact. Fits well with the concept - compact mirrorless.
Cons
  • The diaphragm is poorly fixed. Flies often. Hood and lid are weak. The lens is soft in design. When compared with fuji fixes. I don't like the stub. Weak.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

It is clear that you want a constant f / 2.8 zoom, but this is completely different money. Use as a universal lens for every day, as an adequate wide-angle - great. I use it on x-t3 and x-t30 As the only lens per system for serious use - not enough, but how wagon is great. In addition to it, you need something - fast aperture - either native optics or new Viltrox optics, or the same good Canon optics through an adapter.

Pros
  • Light. Cutting. Excellent stabilizer - both for photos and for video.
Cons
  • As a whale - a super lens.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great lens - Lenses

Much more than a normal lens. Excellent build quality and image quality compared to any kit lens on any platform I've ever used. Most of the time the 18-55 is a junk lens but I use this one a lot. Either that or prime numbers for my Fuji. XT-1. (I know it's old but it works great). You're paying for this set of lenses, so it makes sense.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Light and focus lightning fast!

I love this lens! It has a comfortable focal length. Fantastic quality glass. I really like the photos this lens takes no matter what Fuji camera I put it on. I switched from Nikon to Fuji and this lens is comparable to some of my 1500.00+ lenses. It's light and has lightning fast focus (on xt2). Aperture isn't written on the ring, but you won't miss it as it's marked on the screen and in the viewfinder.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very happy with this 'whale' lens. I wanted an 18-55 OIS lens. It's very sharp and weighs well on my xt2. As for videos, maybe that's my technique, but my videos are very stable. Even when walking, the video remains consistently stable. I've used Ibis in Lumox chambers and was afraid Fuji didn't have it. Now I don't care, OIS in Fuji lenses is magic.

  • Not sure

Great lens - camera and photo

This is a great general purpose lens and for the price of a stock deal it was easy. The advice is to buy a stock deal with no image link. I originally bought one with a picture but it must have been a third person. Stickers that said "stock checked" and the box contained an invoice from another camera shop. The condition of the lens did not match the description and was returned. The one without a picture matched the description. The lens works perfectly and lives up to expectations as one of…

A serious lens, not the "kit " lens you might be used to.

This is a serious lens, mostly metal with engraved markings, and made in Japan. This is not the plastic "whale" lens I had on my Nikon DSLR. These lenses were just one step away from becoming a disposable lens. Fujinon 18-55 is much better. I compared it to another Fuji kit lens, the 16-50. While the 16-50 is a good lens anyway, the 18-55 is much better. It has better autofocus, image stabilization, aperture ring and great bokeh. The optics are clearer and the light sensitivity of 18-55 is…

Great lens, great condition! Must be in the bag.

As everyone says. To me, that's not a whale lens! This is super high quality of images and material. The focus ring is smooth, the aperture ring is knurled and clicks into place with precision, and the optical stabilization is amazing. The glass was perfect too. Given the price and the useful life, I was very satisfied. Tip as I've seen several people on YouTube and elsewhere saying the lens isn't as sharp as they'd hoped when used on a tripod. Most YouTube users who faced this problem forgot…
