The lights themselves are pretty, and I like the nearly clear thin wire which hangs straight down and not crinkly like the standard think wire ones. However they really are not very weather proof. Showing signs of rust here and there after a few weeks outside. My biggest complaint though, is that each strand is identical in lighting pattern, so if hung straight, as I hung on my fence, the lights are in same-color horizontal stripes. At first I was worried the box was very small… However after you and box them they are very long 30 feet as promised all the functions work I think there is 6 to 8 different lighting patterns you can set it was perfect for our balcony I think they would be too small to put like on a roof but perfect for bushes rooms patios and decks

This comes on in demo mode (where it runs through all its flash sequences) no matter what mode it's running when power is removed, so unless you like garishness this won't work if you use them on a timer. You have to select your desired flash mode every time its powered up by repeatedly pushing the button to get the pattern you want.

Edit. One strand already brokeThe lights don't remember the last setting so I have to manually change it every night. It's really annoying.

Love the brightness and warm tungsten color of the lights and the fact that if one LED goes out, it doesn't render the whole string useless. That said, I bought these right before Christmas of last year, and after a year, I notice what looks like rusting going on inside the plastic pieces where the LED wires connect, likely because they're not fully waterproof. These lights are beautiful. The way they attach strands together is very nice. Colors are very vibrant and the price was awesome

They are very bright and very purple! They look amazing. The icicles are long and unraveled easy. My only negative is when you unplug them and plug them back in they reset to setting #1 so you have to change it every time

Bought Christmas 2021 for outdoor use. Crazy tangled but I dealt with it and got the sets hung. The remote control is not separate but connected by a very long cord and is built into the plug. We bought 2 sets. The remote does not "hold" the setting you choose after it is turned off at night. When they turn on (using your own timer, etc) they start off on the selection that includes a bit of each program! I didn't know that would be the case and drove up to see them flashing all kinds of PSYCHO

These lights are great! The "icicle” portions of the lights hang down nice and straight and don’t come out of the box all bunched up like other icicle lights. Very pretty LED lights. Nice 30ft length all in one (almost made it the whole way across our house).

If you are ok with random blinking and not solid lights these are for you. Otherwise, they’ll drive you crazy having to constantly go back outside to change them back to your preferred setting. It’s especially annoying bc I bought these same lights (3 sets) last year and they are solid and save the setting, so only the new ones blinked while last years remained solid which drove me crazy.

When I saw these were 8 function, I assumed they would have a button on them that allowed the functions to be chosen. Nope! Wish I had more control over that, which is why I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars. No remote or button to control the modes. They look nice, though!

Lights do shine bright but it give more white than purple. When I received the item and removed it from the box, half of the wiring was already untied. Leading me to suspect it’s a return from a previous purchase. There was also a few diodes that worked intermittently. If you manually moved the wires around the led it would work and then turn off. While they all are still working lighting up, once taken down from the room all the individual light ends look burnt and melted. Makes me worry about using them again. But while on the roof they worked amazing and ran great!
