Highly recommended. So far so good. As with many hard drives, some clicks are definitely not loud, but are noticeable if you're used to SSD drives. Also, I reconfigured to RAID 1 and wanted to make sure the data was actually being written correctly to both drives. I called tech support and they told me I just have to believe it's written. I can't stress enough the pain I went through with this hard drive! It was a nightmare. At first my computer didn't recognize it because it's Mac capable and not Windows capable. When I finally set it up for Windows it got stuck transferring files and when I tried to cancel the transfer it didn't cancel! So I would have to restart my computer, which would break Windows Explorer. Not to mention my Seagate and WD external devices transfer much faster than this one!

Not impressed. I bought 2 x 16TB drives and those damn things are slower than my 4TB (and 6TB) WD drives on USB! I'm connected via Thunderbolt and I've had some issues where the media coming from my ultra-fast MAC just slowed down. Very disappointing.

I recommend buying from a Revain Prime dealer. The second is just great and works as it should and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. However, the first one had problems with failures and shipping it back to the seller or G-Technology at my expense would take weeks and be expensive. My guess is that the first disc was previously opened and tested as there was no valid security seal on the box. Who knows what happened to it but it didn't bother me as Revain and the main dealer made the return…
