Rigid for shock mounting

Very stiff and not very easy to compress during installation but much better than anything I've installed on this truck.

Pros
  • Few competitors

fits in the rear of my 03 Ford Tour

I have fitted them to the rear of my 03 Ford Tour 6 liter diesel I have been testing these dampers/springs throughout the winter and they are surprisingly good and comfortable for highway speed stability.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Weight

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fits well and works well so far.

They fit well and have a good shape. However, they weren't as heavy as I expected. The piston rods were smaller in diameter and the shock body was smaller than the old Monroes I removed.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good but not perfect

I don't know how long they will last

They offered about 1.5 inches and the ride feels stiffer but only because of the springs. The shock absorbers are very thin and probably very light, and also difficult to install as you have to lift the body so much.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons

heavy hits. for shock absorbers

Installed on a 1995 Tahoe 4x4. Raised the rear of the car 1.5 inches. Just what I need as sometimes I have a few things in the trunk that can weigh up to 250 pounds. Time will tell whether this will be a lasting quality shock. The price is very high and I hope they won't let you down in the near future.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Zero

#VANLIFE Build Support - Prevents the rear from sagging

Used on a 2005 Chevy Express 1500 Extended after building the rear with extra batteries, storage and bed. This will prevent the rear end from sagging too much. It will likely add ride height if you don't have all the weight. Easy installation, just make sure you have a long extension for your impact wrench.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

You will love the price of these shock absorbers!

I have a '92 Chevy pickup with a 4.6 drop, it was almost impossible to find a replacement shock, it did its job and wouldn't get my truck on the ground until I found just spring assist shocks Problem getting them at the auto parts store, they wanted $150 each, but I was able to get both at Revain for $100 plus tax. Of course I'm thinking about buying another set for my other truck.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Volume

Helps the rear suspension when transporting a wheelchair.

I installed a power wheelchair and carrier in the cradle of my 1999 Chevy Tahoe. The only problem was that if there was a dip in the street (IE crossed another street and went through the gutter) the carrier would get scratched. While it wasn't enough to cause damage, it wasn't good. This was installed to fix the problem and did exactly what I wanted. There are no more scratches, but the ride is still good.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
