Garmin Approach S10 GPS Golf Watch

The Garmin GPS golf watch is very good. I particularly like that it also shows the distance to danger spots and dog paws. What could be improved is the time it takes to find a course at the start of a lap which is around 3 minutes. Also, the clock does not always advance to the next hole as claimed. It could be a bug if you're not careful. Overall, I think it's great value for money and I'm very happy with my purchase.

It is very comfortable on the waist and quite easy to use.

I just started using this GPS golf watch but I really like it. This gives you an accurate distance to the centre, in front of and behind the green, as well as bunkers and obstacles. This doesn't give you the actual pin spacing, so you'll have to guess. All the golf courses I play pop up quickly. I charge the watch before playing so I haven't had any battery life issues. It is very comfortable on the waist and quite easy to use when playing. This is my first golf watch or range finder so it's…

Good golf watch - no longer working

I really liked this watch for about 3 weeks. Then the screen started to dim intermittently. Over the next few weeks it got to the point where if you pressed the button the screen would only appear for a few seconds. I consulted the Garmin website and did a master reset. Didn't help and I know I did everything else right because the date has been moved to December 31st. I sent it back and had to pay postage. I will update the post with the outcome of my return. By the way, this is the first time

Waste of money with a subsequent report.

I have used this watch less than 3 months on the golf course. The silicone strap fell off the special connecting screws. It is not connected like most regular watches. Support not available by phone. I can't find any information on the website or anywhere else on how to get a replacement strip. There is only one video on youtube on how to change the strap but not on how to order a replacement kit which I think should be free for a three month old watch. i feel ripped off Follow up: finally…

Ah. An easy to use golf distance device that is lightweight and affordable

I just bought this device and am very happy so far. I have been using various golf apps on my iPhone for five years. These applications work, but they are not convenient at all. Friends have several brands of golf watches; They were all under $400 and felt bulky. This device had the right features and price for me, so I bought it for Christmas. I was concerned that the weight of one of these devices would bother me when playing golf, but after a minute it feels so light you forget you're…

Does what I expected.

I play a limited number of fields, all of which I know very well. All I really need is basic footage info when I'm playing. The S10 delivers exactly that. I also have a Bushnell laser range finder and I've compared the footage it gives me on the white (medium green) flags to what the S10 gives me in the center and found it a lot I agree. Your mileage may vary. One tip is to "start a lap" as soon as you arrive at the club to give your S10 time to find satellites and find a course. I found the…

Bought to replace a second Bushnell Neo XS that broke.

I've owned two Bushnell Neo XS golf watches in the past, both had the plastic glass covering the display which fell off after about a year and got lost somewhere while playing. After this happened on the second one I had to buy another golf watch and chose this Garmin S10 watch as the Bushnell quality was definitely an issue. I'm glad I did. This watch is easy to use, very thin and light, and its rectangular shape is much less obtrusive, especially since I'm wearing it on my gloved hand. I…

Good but there are some flaws that keep it from 5 stars.

I had another brand of GPS watch that broke after many years of service so I'm used to those things. All GPS golf watch reviews said they get garmen (unlike my old brand) so I bought the S10. The S10 has all the features I need. I don't need to score from hole to hole and/or download the scorecard on Garmen, the Garmen app, or watch my buddies perform. If anyone wants to do something similar, the new WHS GHIN app is the place to go. Therefore I did not test these functions. Pros: * Setting up…
