Long lasting hose in belts, hoses and pulleys

I installed this on a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0 SOHC engine. As far as I know it's the lower radiator hose. Fits just right, but you may need to shave half an inch to an inch off the end that connects to the bottom of the radiator so it doesn't rub on the stabilizer bar. Well built durable hose.

Pros
  • Hoses
Cons
  • Only available in black

Will not fit like OEM

Although the compatibility manual says it will fit the lower radiator hose on the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport (4.0L V6), the supplied hose had to be trimmed over 4 inches to fit properly to fit. At least it wasn't too short. Did it but was frustrated that it didn't fit exactly. To be fair, RockAuto lists the same hose as a fitting, so the problem is likely with the Gates hose, not the dealer.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

As advertised for belts, hoses and pulleys

FX4 Ranger 4.0 2005. Both ends will need to be trimmed for a better fit. Just lay the old one on top of the new one, center and trim. Because of the angles on the hose, it's important to cut off both ends. For me it was about 2-3 inches from the top and an inch from the bottom. The top clamp is very difficult to remove, much easier if you remove the wheel from the driver's side and go into the wheel well.

Pros
  • Radiator
Cons
  • Slightly torn
