I tried it on my 1966 galaxy and technically it turns on and stays but I CAN turn it on and the key won't break the target. It doesn't seem to seal properly either.

Not like the photo. They sent me a black plastic part in a box with the correct part number on it. If Gates has changed, it's not for the better. Garbage. Buy elsewhere.

Constantly stuck in gas nozzle. Sometimes it's very easy to remove, other times it's extremely difficult, to the point where you have to use a screwdriver to pry it off.

Works well when fitted correctly. lol needs to wiggle a little more to make sure the engine code light doesn't go out unless screwed in and pressed x number of times. Sometimes the key doesn't want to come out because it wiggles back and forth the first few times you remove the cap to fill the gas until you get used to what it takes to endure a proper adjustment. maybe the seal on the machine is old, but not on the lid, which takes a little getting used to

Gates 31692 Gas Cap This cap is great! I was talking about Gates vs. Stant. I knew about Stent, but I didn't know Gates made gas caps. I knew Gates did other great things so I took a chance and bought this cap. It's soft to the touch, durable and has a great, secure seal that keeps your gas anywhere in the tank. It doesn't look like the gas will corrode the seal like the others, but only time will tell. Worked great on my 1966 Dodge D100.
