After 9,000 miles and 18 months (12 month/12,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first) my new Gates water pump is leaking through the drain hole. THIS IS COMPLETELY TERRIBLE! I installed this kit on my 2008 Legacy GT with the help of a friend. Everything in the set was of very good quality. The water pump gasket was rubber coated metal and I didn't have to put any sealant on it. Everything went in about 5-6 hours, I took my time and pulled out the cooler to get at it. I replaced the radiator hoses as well as the hose clamps when I had them. I flushed the coolant and replaced it with SUBARU Long Life Blue coolant from the dealer.
