Spend your money on a Kreg tool

Grandpa always said he was sick of generic brand tools - our house grew up with old school handymen. I bought it at a bargain price. So if you give a small price, you will get bad quality. I haven't broken my racquet yet as I've read in many other reviews, however I only made about 10 holes with my tool. I have a problem with hole depth in wood. When I drive screws into pocket holes, they stick out without creating a flat surface. It doesn't make a deep enough hole. In addition, the drill does…

Suitable for picture frames, not suitable for 2x6

I had high hopes for this lure after reading all the reviews. I figured the metal construction would pay off. Unfortunately, he did not cope with the task. I used it on 2x6. The drill did not drill well and the hole was very rough. Also, the holes seemed to be too deep for the thickness of the wood. I ended up buying a Kreg light from Home Depot. It worked a lot better, it was a lot more, but for what I was doing making bunk beds I should have bought the Kreg fitting in the first place. This…

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Fantastic mount for 3/4 " stock!

Great tool, especially for the price. I make a lot of tables/furniture out of 3/4" stock and this is perfect for it A little more or less and you could be in trouble. I had a $40 Kreg system before and accidentally filled it with resin, ruining it. So I bought an alternative. That's what I do Made 4 legs for some end tables about 1/3 times faster than my old jig and almost no wrist strain It's very easy to screw onto the work table and fly through the stuff Problems with broken bits or poor…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
