Not an original item.

Had to send it back. Described as a genuine Toyota part. Actually, I didn't get an original part. My old cap has the Toyota logo stamped on it.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Non-original Toyota spare part

It is stated that Toyota is original, but there are no Toyota logos on the fuel cap. The top cover in the picture is what they send, but you can clearly see from the bottom cover that this is not a genuine Toyota part.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • There are nuances

Real or really fake?

This model is perfect for 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5 4X4. Part number 77300-5310. The only thing it didn't have compared to the old one was the Toyota logo (photo #4 left), now one would wonder if this part really is a genuine Toyota part or if I was wrong.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Perfect fit for my Sequoia '03.

My check engine light was on so I went to Advanced Auto Zone to have them do a free check. I looked up the code they gave me online and realized it was probably the gas cap. I have a 2003 so I figured those cap seals are probably a little worn. I figured I wouldn't be wrong if I ordered a gas cap. Of course, it will be much less than carrying it to the store. This solved my problem. Hooray! I love simple solutions and save money.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Reasons to buy a GENUINE OEM TOYOTA FUEL CAP

The reason I paid extra dollars for the fuel cap is because I read somewhere that if you buy a non-genuine cap, you are not Properly bled, you run a terrible risk Check the engine light. It took 30 seconds to change the caps and the engine would not start. I think it's possible that the fuel tank gasket is defective or twisted. But everything is fine again and I am happy with the OEM gas cap.

Excellent quality replacement.

The check engine light on my 2003 Celica GT would come on intermittently due to an evaporator problem - slow leak. I ordered this cover as a direct Toyota replacement. Visually it didn't have a Toyota logo but otherwise it's identical to the original, definitely top quality. The most notable difference between the old cap and the new one was that the rubber O-ring in the old part was flat and cracked from time to time. The new one was flexible and round. The problem is solved, the Check Engine…

  • Stylish and modern design

NOT a genuine Toyota part, this is an aftermarket brand.

NOT a genuine Toyota part. Purchased in November 2018 to reset the PO442 Check Engine Light Code on my 2003 Toyota RAV4. The code was cleared but the code came back a year later. When I compared it to my old original Toyota gas cap (which I kept just in case) which had the Toyota logo stamped on the sides, it doesn't. my toyota dealer and bought an original toyota and the code PO442 is gone. The Toyota dealer gas cap is $28, only $3 more. So DO NOT buy this cover, go to your Toyota dealer and…

Pros
  • New to my collection

  • Not the best

Exact replacement Best in Caps

Received code P0420. Much of the information available online suggests that the oxygen sensors need to be replaced or the computer flashed. There were many other opinions. After working with devices for over 40 years, I took the KISS method and started troubleshooting with the most economical and suspect component. gas cap. The fuel cap is responsible for equalizing the pressure in the fuel system. If the gasket (or O-ring) leaks, the pressure in the system will become uneven. The system…
