Great knives, great price!

I like this set of knives. This review is very late but I have to tell you that the original block it came with had a crack on the side and I just knew it was only going to get worse. Although I really liked the knives and still do. I contacted the seller to let me know what was wrong with the unit and they promptly sent me another one. It was exceptional customer service and love the new block no problem and love the knives they are very sharp and would buy again from the same seller. Customer

Wrong and damaged products received. twice.

I had to order twice because I received two chef's knives but no Santoku knife with the first delivery. On both orders, one of the knives the chef received was delivered damaged, with rust over the handle. Both times. It's also worth noting that the damaged chef's knives in both orders came in different packaging than the other knives, had a different design, and were a lower quality knife overall. This is extremely frustrating as I now have to return two different boxes and find a better…

Very light (really received an open product)

Wanted to like it but received an open product so I couldn't rate them long term. The plastic lids were torn, some of the blades and fingerprints were rusty, the boxes weren't even sealed. felt a little uncomfortable. In general, it was quite attractive from an aesthetic point of view. I would still recommend trying them out if you like rounded handles and super light knives. However, kitchen scissors appeared to be ridiculously cheap plastic. I prefer Kitchenaid scissors with a soft and strong

Large knife set (without steak knives)

I'm not a professional chef, I just love to cook at home. This is a very sharp set of knives, it does what I need easily and effortlessly even with meat. I've only worn them for 1.5 months, but they haven't rusted yet (wipe dry immediately after washing). Good selection of knives. I like both santoku and chef's knives, not too heavy but heavy enough to cut effortlessly. There are no complaints about functionality and usefulness yet. Kitchen scissors are sharp/strong and easily cut through thick

Pros
  • One year trial period

They are nice but check out another less expensive set of knives.

They are pretty. I've been looking into Revain for a couple of weeks (many) to find a replacement for my old knives. Judging by the reviews and the description, I really liked them. Not happy with the purchase. The knives are no sharper than the old ones. I like that they are a little heavier. One started to discolour after the 1st wash (by hand) by drying it completely with a kitchen towel. They fit on the counter but cannot remove the knives for use due to the angle of the knife block. My…

An almost perfect set.

I really like this set. I don't need any more knives than the four that came with this set, but I've replaced the 5 inch utility knife with a serrated version. If it was a serrated knife to begin with I would think the set would be perfect. I just didn't see a reason to have a 5" utility knife when I could just use a chef's knife or paring knife, while a serrated knife comes in handy for slicing bread (something I wouldn't use a straight blade for). . Another thing to note is that the chef's…

Good choice at a good price.

Purchased on recommendation of Consumer's Reports. I've always used German Henkles or Wüstof for their superb craftsmanship, durable materials, well-balanced knives, and sharp-edged consistency. I also tried a few Shun Kershaw knives. All cost hundreds of dollars and can be well worth it. But when I needed an extra outdoor cooking set I tried to be frugal and glad I did! Every kitchen should have at least one chef's knife, one utility knife, one paring knife, and one slicer; cut, cut and cut…
