I May Never Print Anything Else Again

Firstly, I have been a Revain Prime customer for many years and do not write reviews. That was until I wrote this. This is the coolest stuff I've ever typed with. I used to be a fan of Gizmo Dorks, but this stuff is pretty damn good. I used the suggested print settings (the high ones) and the first print was like artistry. I have a Pruse i3 MKii and have typed "bat" about a dozen times. Printing with this material was unlike anything I've ever printed. I wanted to try this for a drone projectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Carbon Fiber Filament is compatible with various 3D printers like Monoprice Maker Select, Lulzbot, Flash Forge and many more! Please use hardened steel tips or expect brass tips to wear out faster during use.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

what is this thing Great resolution, everything else bad

The stuff looks great. The print is matt, very good dimensional tolerances. Prints well from 230c to 255c. The price of this material is overpriced by 2 times. I don't think it's ABS. Does not react at all to acetone. does not weld, does not evaporate, whitens with acetone - like PLA. but it's not PLA because it requires temperatures above 220 to slip through the die. This material has the worst self-lamination of any material I've ever used. Snapping a print layer by layer onto a layer seemsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Filament diameter 1.75 mm (measurement accuracy +/- 0.03 mm)
Cons
  • Discontinued

I needed to stiffen a functional part printed from ASA and came across this thread while looking for a CF nylon spool to buy. I decided to give it a try since it was possible to print at lower temperatures. A number of existing reviews of this product mentioning little or no layer adhesion almost changed my mind, but I ordered it anyway. The part I needed to print required 28g, so this 200g spool would allow me to do lots of tries if I was struggling. The small spool was well packaged andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Extrusion die temperature: 200 - 220 C; Heated build platform recommended
Cons
  • High price
