Excellent, versatile knife

This knife is very profitable. Nice material, will not rust for 2 years of operation. It has become an invaluable tool in the kitchen, replacing virtually every knife in my knife block. It's used 4-5 times a day to cut everything from fruits and vegetables to cheese and meat. This is probably the only knife you need in the kitchen!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No performance

The revised new version is not good.

The original used to be very good. The original had a hole in the handle. The new one doesn't fit. Not so deep notches. The grip is not strong. He's thin in both directions. The plastic is thin and slippery. Looks like it will break soon. I only gave 2 stars because it still works well. Although I don't know how long it will take.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Knife as advertised and working

Knife was as advertised except no width stated. Was for my wife to cut the tomatoes extra. She had the same knife that was lost but it was much thinner (about half). It works well, but it's not exactly what she needs. Delivered on time and in good condition. In fact, it seemed pretty flimsy to me, but didn't match her old knife.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Great knife that stays sharp

I use this knife several times a day since I bought it 18 months ago. He's still sharp. Ideal for tomatoes, courgettes, etc. The blade is not too wide so it does not offer much resistance when cutting. Like it a lot! This is the best serrated knife I have ever owned. I cut on a wooden or plastic cutting board, not ceramic or metal. and always make sure that the knife does not touch other metal objects. This will help protect the blade from damage.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No paint needed

Good concept, poor execution

I had a similar knife that worked so well for many fruit and veg cutting jobs but it has seen better days. Finding a similar blade wasn't easy, so I was very excited to order it. Yes, the knife is sharp enough, but the ergonomics are terrible. The handle is made of an ultra-light material, so there is no "weight". This knife is not heavy at all. Very frustrating. Also, the blade is sharpened in such a way that you have to compensate for its tendency to cut sideways instead of straight down. I…

Nice knife but only time will tell if it stays sharp

Pretty good knife. I bought this because I bought the same type of knives about 15 years ago and they stayed sharp and were great for almost anything in the kitchen. There have been a few changes over the years (like their teeth getting finer and finer out of the box) and this latest incarnation of these Good Cook knives appears to be quite sharp, albeit again with finer teeth. Time will tell if they retain their sharpness as well as their predecessors. Tip: The price here seems to be somewhere

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • No

When I first received this knife I wasn't a fan of it. The Good Cook Knife blade is a little thin unlike the JA Heckles I was looking to replace. However, I have found that this knife is very good at cutting thin slices of vegetables. It slices through small cherry tomatoes without crushing them. It slices peppers very quickly because the blade is incredibly sharp. The serrated edges provide a good grip when slicing lemons and limes. It also slices chicken breasts with ease. One of the family…

Pros
  • Always liked it

  • I won't say anything
