Comfort and value!: Men's

They have a walnut shell! Absolutely one of the most comfortable bibs I've ever worn! Good, durable and comfortable padding for your sit bones on long rides and the front has a soft fabric area for your sensitive parts to reduce numbness. I've tried both the large version and the XL version, if you're not in doubt go up a size, but these are almost true to size. The larger ones had just enough stretch to fit my size and only fit better as I decreased.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Unreliable

Really good buy

These shorts are very good value for money. The only true. Lightweight and very comfortable for rides up to 3 hours. Anything beyond that and I move on to my (much more expensive but not necessarily better) Izumi Pearl. If the bars were a little thicker I would certainly use them on every ride no matter how long. I was a little worried about the leg grips but they held their shape and elasticity. Overall a great product at an even better price.

  • Easy to use

Be stylish with this suede

Opinions on overalls are highly subjective. I'm a big fan of Pearl Izumi bike kits. I've worn Gore running gear for many years. The greatly reduced price of these bibs caught my attention and need and we are now discussing it. They are made for high temperature rides in Texas. Leg grips are fine and can lift on inclines. I don't care about the chamois. It's too tight and not soft enough for my taste. It tends to kick in the crotch, which isn't fun when trying to center it while riding. I'm not…

Avoid those bibs. for men

I have been wearing Gore cycling clothing for over 10 years and love most of their products that I have tried. However, these C5 chest armors are so bad I'm almost wondering if they're pirated? the material is very weak; it doesn't have the compression feel or the more durable material of the old bibs. The foam pad just rips off leaving a horrible seam. The leg grips have a hard plastic stitching that feels stiff on the legs and can easily damage skin after hours of cycling. I can't believe…

Great bib shorts: Bib shorts

This is the first pair of bike shorts I've bought. Up to this point I had only worn cycling shorts. If like me you are interested in bibs then I have to tell you they are worth the investment. These bibs have been a huge improvement in comfort for my cycling. These bibs are very thin and light. I found the pillow in it very comfortable and well made. My first ride on them was 42 miles and they performed well. I liked them so much that I ordered a second pair right after the first ride with…

  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Volume

Very small, very light

Most importantly, if your body fat percentage isn't too low, go up a size or two. Are they worth it? Well, the difference between the C3 and C5 is that the more expensive one has a thin layer of windproof material in the crotch. You know, to avoid wind chill on your junk. The product description describes a 'mug' to the best of my knowledge, but it doesn't actually have anything that looks like a mug. In other words, no more support than any other pair of cycling shorts. So I don't think the…
