Without clamp

This is a Greenfield footrest that's just as good as a footstool. I'm taking off a star because the seller could have been a lot clearer that this footpeg doesn't come with a top clamp, meaning it won't work on most bikes. Please make sure your bike has a mount with footpeg hole before purchasing. Most don't and you need that top clip. Luckily I have a spare clip.

  • Handy item

Note! for cycling

Please note the kit does not include a top plate and longer bolt to attach to a bike that does not have an attached plate. There are others that come with all the hardware from Revain, I just needed them the next day. Luckily I replaced the Greenfield stand which was too short for my DIY e-bike weight. It didn't even need to be cut and holds the weight perfectly. I bent two more adjustable stands out of hollow aluminum tubes.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure

So I bought a 305mm footpeg because the reviews say '22' refers to the tire size. I have a 700c tire aka "29". I ended up having to downsize my stand to the smaller 285mm option, losing a $5 price difference. Thank goodness I was able to cut and install it myself because it would cost another $15-20 at the bike shop. Use the Pythagorean theorem to estimate how long your footrest should be. Tire size does not affect bottom bracket/chain stay/stand height.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I am writing back

Don't waste your time

Purchased by mistake. They should discontinue this product and offer only the one with the metal plate added. If you don't need a metal plate, just don't use it. Quality product at a great price

I just installed two of these units on my Specialized Hot Rock 16" kids bikes. I emailed the company and received a response from the company's VP in less than 24 hours. I was impressed! Screw and lock washer included. The stand's mounting base fits perfectly into the stand's factory mounting plate next to the bottom bracket. The only thing you have to do is trim the footboard. FYI if you have the same bikes I cut the footrest right at the "180" mark which allowed the bikes to lean properly.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some bugs

Better than other designs, great price

I've tried a few other types of kickstands that can be adjusted higher or lower (which always come loose) and mounted further back (which doesn't hold the bike also where it is mounted). This old school design is the best. It is important to know that if it is too long for your bike, it can easily be shortened with a hacksaw. It was too long for my children's bike and was easy to adjust. Simply place your bike on the curb so that the footpeg is hanging off the side of the curb in the "stand"…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • boring packaging
