Installed under the sink at the fixture furthest from the water heater. Items comes with plastic material. Threaded at 1-1/2 inches. Use with UP comfort series pumps. Prevents cold water runoff.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My original purchase of this valve was made AFTER reading numerous previous customer reviews of poor plastic construction and a tendency to leak. Despite my better knowledge, I bought it anyway and proceeded with the installation after carefully reading the instructions, which specifically warn against using tape or pipe sealant. I installed it according to the instructions and it's leaking horribly. I started from scratch and made sure it was installed correctly and not twisted. I turned the…

Served 2-3 years. CHEAP replacement

I just bought this to replace an identical one. The first failed 3 years and 3 months after the (manufacture) date stamp, probably after about 2 1/2 years of service. I have a good, clean city water supply. The second failed after 1 year and 11 months. It's too expensive - I won't do it again. I made a replacement out of parts at a local plumbing store for $16. It's a cheap plastic valve but the only one I know of

The original one I bought as a replacement had a Watts hot water circulation system that consisted of a pump and this valve exists.The pump will be installed at the outlet of the water heater and the valve will be installed under the farthest faucet.Our water heater is in the basement in the middle of our house and we have bathrooms at both ends so we have a valve in both bathrooms installed under the sinks.
