Good for potatoes but no more

This slicer works well for potatoes (sweet or white) but the tines aren't strong enough/long/numerous enough to hold softer veggies (like zucchini). If you were thinking of buying this to make zucchini noodles or something like that you will be disappointed. Also, one of the blades bent the first time I used it, which was amazing. I also agree with another reviewer who said it's very messy. I ended up buying a spiral cutter.

Dirt and debris in graters, vegetable cutters and cutting knives

I bought this product because I liked the idea that it was made entirely of stainless steel. It came with no assembly and usage instructions and is poorly made in China; The cutting end is not properly aligned with the end of the handle. The blade wasn't sharp enough to cut through potatoes. The blades meant to hold the vegetables in place have just made large indentations in the potato. After my husband sharpened the cutting blade a bit, it somehow worked. Finally! Spiral Vegetable Slicer That Works!

Please read my reviews of other Paderno slicers and spiralizers. In comparison, this one is made to order. I ended up buying a Grunwerg Spiral Vegetable Slicer after watching a demo on YouTube. (youtube.com/watch?v=kRFzjgeb54M) It was a little more expensive than the Paderno (and solid steel, not plastic), but works great (still has issues with suction cup feet, so maybe that's my counter issue). !)
