A simple solution! on tie downs and anchors

A simple solution for securing the rear of a camper van. I've used them before and now my choice again. I added large washers behind the bumper to prevent twisting.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing

I was afraid to drill the bumper.

But I'm glad I did. These ties feel really strong and go great with my 2016 Silverado. A bit tight to install but looks and works well.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

You only get one! order 2!

The product itself seems good. But reading the comments I saw that people say get a pair and some people say get a single. While the words used in the sale suggest one thing, reading about the product and their comments is pretty damn obscure. Well, my fault I guess.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Frequency

They've been on my truck for almost two years.

They've been on my truck for almost two years and are holding on. However, they are beginning to rust. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the fact that you have to drill a hole in the truck's chrome steel bumper instead of sealing it from the elements.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Easy to install and requires drilling two 1/2 " holes.

Price is for one. Two are required. Curved detail is shown upside down. Easy to install and requires drilling two 1/2" holes in the bumper. I wrapped tape around the head of the screw to avoid damaging the plating with a wrench. I used Torklift "Outriggers" for the front.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
