Fiction. I was skeptical about the increase in cost.

Fantastic. I was skeptical because of the extra 0.02mm cost increase of the two extra tolerances, but wow, it really made a difference. Now I just wish I could get more!

Pros
  • Industrial and scientific
Cons
  • I will add later

Your original PLA/ABS is great. What happened?

Not very good. I assume it was meant to compete with Colorfabb's NGen or _XT thread? The drawdown was set at 0.5 and the hot end/bed temperature was 220/70 to get good prints. Worth no more than $10.

Pros
  • 3D printing consumables
Cons
  • boring packaging

Regular PLA Stick

We have used several brands including Hatchbox 3D PLA and have never had any problems with them. However, this PPLA spool had problems with cracks all over the spool from the start. We did a small test print and these cracks were also very evident in the print. We had to return it and are now using the regular Hatchbox 3D PLA.

Pros
  • 3D Printing Filament
Cons
  • So far so good
