Don't buy this, it's junk filament

The color and finish are very alluring, but be warned: it will only clog the nozzles and ruin the textured layer. I extruded in many of the recommended ranges of 210°C to 230°C per pack. Click-click-click feed motor skips teeth. Check the teeth on the other threads (Hatchbox Pla Black, Red Fulament Matte, etc.) and everything works fine. slow feed. slow movement speed. the same problems. For each failed print, I got a perfect finish with a thread of absolute superglue smeared into my textured…

My new favorite with a caveat

Hatchbox PLA has always been dependable, durable and good looking, but these matte finishes really enhance the look and make it look more professional. Matt also hides common misprints well. One caveat is that durability may not be as good as gloss (rather than matte) stock, but I may not have had a high enough extrusion temperature in a print that cracked in testing. This was printed at 200C, which is what I usually print with standard PLA. I noticed that it was stronger at 215C. This time…

Constant clogs on 3D printing consumables

I've been using Hatchbox alongside other PLA filaments for years and never had this problem. The first thing I noticed was that the recommended extruder temperature was about 30 degrees higher than the previous hatchbox coils I've used, which indicated something had changed in the formula. No problem, so I tried a few test prints in five degree increments from 205c to 230c to find a sweet spot. I've never found a single sweet spot. Significant underextrusion was observed at each temperature…
