Description of πŸ”΅ HDglass 1.75mm Blinded Dark Blue: The Ultimate High-Definition Filament for Precision Printing

Very easy to print, high performance 3D printer PETG filament with optimal thermal stability and high strength. A remarkably high gloss and transparency: 90% optical light transmittance with only 1% of haze. Nearly warp-free and has perfect inter-layer adhesion. Good first layer adhesion to a heated glass print bed and many other surfaces. Odorless and compatible with high speed printing on all common FFF printers.

Disappointing Dark Blue Filament

The color of this filament is strikingly different from the product image shown. It is much darker and almost black; not what I was expecting. The filament diameter was inconsistent, causing multiple print failures.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inconsistent diameter, inaccurate color representation

When working on projects with a case width of 0.5mm and a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm, it was found that that the product prints best at much higher altitude temperatures than published and added with bed temperature. The best point achieved by this user is an extruder temperature of 250Β°C, a bed temperature of 50Β°C and a speed of 50 mm/s. Clean? good.shiny translucent. I will most likely buy more.

Pros
  • Very easy to print, high performance PETG filament for 3D printers with optimal heat resistance and high tenacity
Cons
  • Available in white only

Hassle-free printing

I mainly print with PLA. I decided to learn how to print with PETG, so I ordered a few rolls of PETG. This could be the third or fourth roll of PETG. I read online that FormFutura makes good threads. I chose Blinded Red because it's a bit cheaper than the other Formfutura HDglass colors. Basically, this thread prints and prints with no problems. I get minimal tension and after it cools it easily detaches from my printer. It adheres fairly well to the print platform and I don't lose any prints…

Pros
  • Odorless and compatible with high-speed printing on all major FFF printers
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
