🌈 Vibrant Stained Glass Waves: RED HEART Unforgettable Yarn Review

I didn't enjoy using this yarn but I LOVE the end product. Too much variation in yarn thickness for me. Sometimes it was very thin and sometimes much thicker. Looks great, I just like the consistency more. My second skein had a few knots and a few places where the yarn was so frayed that I had to cut and sew it back on as I worked. It's really soft and the colors are great.

I have used this yarn a few times but this color is very pretty. It doesn't change as drastically as I'd like, it's light gray to dark gray rather than black to white. But the finished projects are great. Like the other threads in this line, they vary greatly in thickness. There will be sections that look almost like thread and other sections that border on thick yarn. But that never had a negative impact on my projects.

I have purchased this brand and type of thread before with better results. This strand was very variable in quality and width. About half of the strand was a lot thinner than the other, making a smaller piece than the previous strands. Roving yarns usually vary slightly in thickness, but they varied enough to produce a lower quality item made from the same type of yarn. It was very disappointing. I have now found that the same yarn costs about twice as much as when I bought it about a month…

The colors of this yarn are very pretty and my designs have turned out soft and cute. However, I call this yarn SAFE because when you make a mistake it is excruciatingly frustrating and sometimes impossible to go back and undo it. It gets tangled very easily and the fibers stick together making it difficult to untangle. Also, the skin came apart during the work and ended up in a big mess. I couldn't resist the beautiful flowers and started knitting the openwork shawl pattern as soon as it arrived. The colors are beautiful jewel tones, with a bit more raspberry and purple than the other colors. I personally would like a little more bright blue and maybe less green, but it's still pretty good. It is slightly shiny, silky and pleasant to the touch. I'm not a big fan of acrylic at all, but it seems a little better than your average cheap skein. Not so "squeaky" if that makes sense…

I love Unforgettable yarn and use it regularly in my projects including hats and scarves and soft enough for baby blankets. I think this yarn produces designs that look decidedly premium, with looks and quality. It's soft to the touch and a little fluffy, but also has that muted gorgeous sheen.
