Description of Heat Set Inserts Compatible SP40NKUS Connecting

Designed and manufactured in the USA. The original long shank tip for the Hakko FX888D iron. If you see others with these shapes not made by Virtjoule, they are copy cats. Longer shank than other tips allows you to reach deeper into 3D printed parts and tight corners to install heat-set inserts without touching your iron and melting the plastic. Installation tip works better than soldering iron tip since conical tips can catch on the insert and accidentally pull the insert out while melting the plastic and ruining the part. Tip sizes include M2, M2.5, M3, M4, and M5. M2.5 is a popular hole size for Raspberry Pi circuit boards. M3 is a popular size for Arduino circuit boards. Compact tip cradle included to keep them together when they're not being used. Wide size range gives you lots of flexibility to choose the right insert for your 3D printing project.

It's amazing!

They fit my jacket like a glove and heat up very quickly. This is what you need if you like very well made and precisely designed products. Excellent work!

  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Negative impression

It is great! Suitable for soldering and soldering equipment

They do what they are supposed to. I was hesitant to buy as I wasn't sure if they would fit my plumb but they worked like clockwork. The seller needs to be told that these things will work for most solderers

Pros
  • trial period for one year
Cons
  • boring packaging

Perfect for the inserts needed for my 3D prints

They fit perfectly for the inserts needed for a 3D print I did recently. They heat up very quickly and work great. I'm very excited to use them in another project, I need to develop something that uses screw inserts.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Not the best

Works well: Tips

I've used them a few times. The tip tends to hang on the internal threads of the insert. I use rubber gripped pliers to hold the insert during installation and to depress it when I remove the soldering iron. It works well for me and I will use it every time I install heated inserts in my parts.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Must have for 3D printer owners.

Before I discovered the inserts for screwing 3D printed parts. I would just walk My screws are right in the plastic dies. Although it held, removing and reinserting the screws eventually cleared the hole in the parts. After finding and using insoles, I knew I would never go back. Although the usual soldier tip will do. Using these tips will help hold the inserts in place when pressed directly, allowing your parts to fit together more precisely and your finished 3D printed designs to look and…

Pros
  • Pointed
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Only used 3mm for welding and soldering

So far so good. Works perfectly. I used to use the pointed tip of my soldering gun to install inserts. I found the tip was too long and was melting the plastic under the inserts since the hole wasn't through. Sometimes when I took the iron out the insert stuck to the tip and pulled out. With a 3 mm tip that was no problem. It also turned out that for PLA 400 F was a good temperature, for ABS and Nylon 600 F was a good temperature. Any temperature above melted faster than I wanted and I couldn't

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Accessories
Cons
  • Some bugs

High quality heat shrink tubing tips to fit my X-Tronic model #3020

I'm new to heat shrink tubing but have a project that needs them so I did a little research . Eventually I realized they would have to install my random Chinese soldering iron, which I also bought from Revain here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079VVHPPSI. Read customer questions and the seller answered every question so it was a good sign from the start. But in one of the questions the seller gave the sizes of the tip inserts so I took my digital calipers and measured my soldering iron…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
