🔌 Hella 007791011 12V 40 Amp SPST Relay: High-Performance with Resistor for Efficient Power Distribution Review

In my opinion, Hella makes automotive controls of the highest quality. I installed a Baja Designs ONX6 Dual Lightbar on my van. I had to control the earth circuit that would provide low beams. This relay has a resistor that helps protect the electronics from light. I am very happy with the relay and would recommend it to potential buyers.

My 2009 C300 had an engine light on. I looked at the code that said the pump was smoke and noticed a squeaking noise when the car cold started, so replacing the pump made sense. After restarting, the indicator light came on again and the pump did not work. So I checked the fuse, the fuse was blown. fuse replaced. Still broken. Finally tried this relay and the smoke pump worked. I'm not sure how all three went badly, but it can happen.

I am giving 4 stars as it was not identical to the factory part I removed. Might still work fine but I just got one from the dealer just to be on the safe side. The dealer and original part had wider teeth and maybe a bit thicker. I will be using this Hella relay in another project as it is brand name and could probably work 100% as intended (Mercedes Airmatic pump relay), I feel better with an exact replacement part.
