Good in a pinch, but if you want a decent leather halter it's not worth it - spend more for something better. I have a butt that usually fits my TBs and it's about the size of a Warmblood.

This was my first HDR product purchase and will be my last. The leather is of poor quality and the "brass" latch on the neck broke within the first week. When I say broken, I mean the metal actually broke in half when my big pony grabbed the sleepers. My advice: spend your money and buy a good Walsh halter.

My sweet girl has the most beautiful new halter in her stable :) Excellent leather quality and durable fittings. It may not be as durable as $100+ halters, but my mare is quite gentle so I'm sure it will last her a long time. Perfect for our needs :)

My horse lives on the road and his halters are at the gate year round, so I always buy the cheapest leather halters I can find. I usually buy another brand but this one was cheaper so I chose it. I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the leather which is way better than other $25 holsters I've used. I haven't had it long enough to say how it will hold up, but it looks and feels pretty solid. The size of the horse barely fits my harness breed who usually wears an oversized halter…

Nice halter, should do the job. Our stable requires horses to wear halters while out to pasture, so I wanted something that I knew would break if caught. That skin definitely looks like it will break if you apply reasonable pressure. The leather is quite sturdy and the color is dyed so it looks very shiny like faux leather. It smells very "chemical" and doesn't smell like leather at all. The hardware seems decent and the latch opens easily. I would NOT buy this if you are looking for something…
