Fantastic quality, very neat when worn.

I use this on my adult Malinois. She weighs 55 pounds and her neck measures 16 inches at the top where a spiked collar should sit. This collar fits her perfectly with an extra link. I like the color and quality. like the big spooky spiked collars that dogs usually wear. When used correctly, this item changed my Malinois habits almost instantly. I would buy it again right away.

Good quality collars

After using martingale, padded leash, regular collar, harness and leash and consistent training, my dog was still pulling a lot. He's very energetic and still young, so it's understandable, but his desire can hurt him. Finally, I tried the spiked collar. The courier delivered the package to the wrong department so I personally went to track the package down. Squeezing the pins together was difficult at first, but after a few uses I got the hang of it. The tine size is perfect for my dog. 4…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

  • Slightly torn

The dog is happy when I take off the collar

After a lot of research I found that this is it. Bought and worn for 6 months. Border Collie, and she dropped into the water like a fish. It was indoors so she got used to it, didn't seem to work like all videos. So after taking the first long walk with a standard collar and leash and the dog pulling hard as expected, I thought I would reluctantly give it a try. I put it on properly and just started walking. No joke, the circle closes. We walked about a mile, the leash is slack, the dog is…

DON'T BUY SMALL! READ THE REVIEW. WARNING.

DON'T BUY SMALL! I read several reviews that said the collar just fell off their dogs and I just assumed they were using it incorrectly. Oh no. Last night after sunset on a busy street next to the beach in a busy parking lot this collar just came off MY 4 MONTH PUPPY! Luckily my husband saw this and popped up on the pup before realizing he was free. It could have ended tragically! We will send it back and get the carrier. Because the tines are so simple and easy to attach (large tines are very…

Black trim looks great on dark sable fur!

I have a regular stainless steel HS tine for my dog that we use regularly and have had for many years (since my last GSD). I ordered a black coloring because our current dog is a dark sable and I figured he wouldn't stand out as much. You can't even tell she's wearing it! I'm so pleased - not so many ugly looks from ignorant people. Note that in the picture we are using a spare nylon collar which is oversized in case a pin pops out. This has never happened to me, but others have warned me that…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Wrinkled

A great trainer when used correctly.

Do you have a dog that pulls or tugs? This will change walking forever. I'm a Pittie Lab mix and even at 4 months her leash pulling was enough to strain my lower back. Sign in Germ. Put it on and after a few quick tugs on the leash and a few verbal commands, walking becomes a pleasure. Along with the vibrating collar, I can take her off the leash on most walks (on approved dog trails). If she stops following the "foot" command I'll put that on for the next walk or two and bingo, she's fine…

game changer!

This collar is a game changer. Our 50lb (50lb) 9 month old Sheepadoodle pup loves to go for walks but without this collar he will be taking me for walks! My weakened ankle from the previous break can't take it. This collar prevents the puppy from dragging me through the surrounding streets or falling on them. We only use this collar for walks and take it off after the walk. It doesn't hurt, doesn't dig into the skin: it really evenly distributes the collar over the entire neck. I had to take…

I like the black (really bronze) color

Bought a small one for my medium sized dog on the recommendation of the trainer and added links in the size or Please note that the size refers to the size of the limbs rather than the size of the neck. I like the black (really metallic) color as it is less visible on my dog's darker coat. I live in an environment of many people who frown on the use of certain teaching tools, and since I'm not a strong advocate of spiked collars, I prefer not to invite unnecessary conversation. I quickly…

Pros
  • Black Stainless Steel Herm Sprenger Collar with Swivel D-ring, size 16" long and 2.25mm
Cons
  • Legacy model

I originally bought the large Herm Sprenger 3.25mm collar for my 6 month old German Shepherd Longhair, but because the links are so large the collar will either be too big or too small as we needed. 4.5 left away. Thanks to this small collar from Herm Sprenger, I can better adapt it to my dog. Actually I only had to remove one link of the collar to fit my 50lb 6 month old German Shepherd, snug and as the links on the collar are smaller and had to be removed more links on the collar. Collar…

Pros
  • Center panel assembly which connects the serrated links on either side of the center panel and positions the serrated links towards the center panel, applying even pressure to the dog's neck
Cons
  • Not safe
