Cheaply made in spare parts

Too soft metal. During installation, the adjustment screw became rounded, which prevented sufficient torque to adjust the pulley for belt installation.

Does not fit, belt does not work with it

Not a very good product. It's done wrong or something, I couldn't put the strap back on, thought it was wrong. First the belt, but that's not it, so I removed the pulley and idler from the new "broken bracket", put them on the old bracket, and after that all was good.

Part broke off when I pulled on the tensioner to put the V-ribbed belt back on!

The tensioner was fine until I installed it and put the bushing into the 19mm hex head to reattach the belt. When I started pulling on the tensioner, the metal lever holding that hex head broke completely. The metal was very porous and broke off at moderate pressure. All the work to install it and it broke right away. Disappointing!

Get what you pay for.

Fast delivery and everything. The product looks good, but it isn't. It doesn't have a spring, it's filled with oil, and when I opened the box, oil ran out and it didn't shrink at all. After installing this not-so-easy tensioner, I was utterly disappointed to find that it didn't work. Word to the wise, this is an important part of your car, buy a quality part. I bought the Gates brand and it works great.

Perfect product. Ease of installation. does what i needed Great service from the seller too. No problem. Don't think you can compromise on installing this product. The engine MUST be jacked up to change the belt tensioner. An advice. Install a new belt with the engine jacked up. So you'll have better luck if you route the belt correctly.

Cheap cast metal

Bought this in January. It works, but pray you never have to change your belt or power steering pump like I did last week. Using the correct space molded into the bracket to loosen the tensioner enough from the serpentine belt to remove the belt, it released right flush with the back of the bracket. It's cheap cast metal and not as high quality as OEM, but I guess that's why it's part of the OEM price. The product will work as long as you do not need to perform scheduled maintenance such as B…
