XL6009 is a high-performance 400KHz 4A switch currency step-up (BOOST) module. This module is coming with the 3rd generation high-frequency switch technology as the core chip, The performance is much higher than LM2577. Wide input voltage: 3V~32V;Optimum operating voltage range: 5~32V;Wide output voltage: 5V~35V. With 4A high efficiency MOSFET switches, the efficiency of XL6009 can be up to 94%(LM2577current is 3A. With ultra high switch frequency 400KHz , even if small capacity filtering capacitors can achieve very good results, ripple is smaller (Compared to LM2577,its frequency is 50KHz). With 0.1uF high-frequency bypass capacitor, effectively filter out high-frequency noise.

Measured power for power converters

Increases the voltage. This allows me to power the 12v motor of the motor controller from a 5v USB battery. The advantage is that now one battery can be used for MCU and motors.

Test Your Power Accessories Before Using

Be sure to thoroughly test each device before connecting it to anything worthwhile. As another reviewer noted, the outputs can vary wildly below the 5V input. Trying to convert 4V to 5V gave 30-40V. Even with no load, it can draw a lot of current.

Works well.: Power accessories

Copes well with voltage boost. However, the input voltage must not be less than 5V. Oddly, when the input voltage drops below 3.6V, the board ramps the voltage up to over 50V! This will definitely destroy most electronic components and damage the XL6009, so be careful.

Does what it's supposed to, but.

Use this to make sure my PWM pump is getting at least 12.1V DC from the computer. Upgrade scheme only. Any voltage above the setting will pass. When the power is turned off, the circuit outputs 40V for a split second. That's normal for motors, but I wouldn't trust it as a voltage regulator for electronics.

Works beautifully and is so compact

Takes up so little space and ramps up the tension smoothly. These things don't even get hot, which means there's little power loss, which also means they're extremely efficient. I increased the 9V source to 30V output (low current obviously). I love these things. Ideal for getting odd voltages for low power applications.

HOT, poor soldering

One line of capacitor not soldered (repaired myself), runs too hard to touch pattern 2A at 12V with 15V output. The description says it can output 2A, but it doesn't. See photo for the part that gets hot. no way to warm him up. Bad design but seems to be the same for all boards of this type. Knacro fixed voltage buck/boost circuit.

Should only be used at 5 volts.

I'm not sure why you would use this as it can do bad things if not powered by 5 volts. I've set it to output 4.7 volts when plugged into a 5 volt desktop power supply. When I lowered the battery voltage to 3 volts to simulate connecting to a battery pack, it rolled over and fried my device. I found that at 40 volts it jumps between 3 and 3.3 volts. I see many scenarios where this can damage something when the power supply is unstable.

Good device to boost a 6V 13A battery to 9V.

Uses a high-capacity rechargeable lead-acid battery with a voltage as low as 6 volts to power projects that require 9 volts or more. One of the devices failed after a few days and regardless of the setting of the output potentiometer, the output voltage was less than the input voltage. . I tried another one and it worked as intended - hopefully it doesn't break anything as well. I am happy with this purchase.
