I bought this key because it has a laser cut key (no teeth on the outside of the key) that won't cut into my pants pockets like any other U-Lock key except OnGuards - combined with the fact that it is 14 mm steel. The key is intimidating - thick and unlikely to break in the lock. I use it to attach a rear wheel to a bike frame and to replace a chain that might get cut.
