Works great but the U-bolt seems stronger

These guys make 2 types of clutch clamps. I have one of each style. Both styles work great. This style of bolt looks really nice, but I think the U-bolt style is actually a bit better at withstanding side loads. Both units are used in our tow truck, which I've only tested at around 2,000 miles so far. We tow a full-fledged pickup behind a diesel camper.

does the trick! for towing groceries and winches

I used this on a trip from New Jersey to Florida. It's on Torklift Ecohitch. I can't move this clutch clamp all the way to my clutch like they suggest because the bolt on the flat part of the clutch won't tighten. Afraid he wouldn't completely disconnect, he held on to the trunk all the way to Florida. Will update if there are problems on the way home. Pretty solidly built. I will also test it on my pickup trailers.

Mounting tip best for outdoor use

This product is well built and designed to tight tolerances. It is designed to fit the hitch, not your receiver. I have a 2015 ram with a 2.5 class v receiver with a 2 inch spacer hitch inherited from my old ram. I originally ordered a 2.5 inch but had to return it for a 2 inch. I actually had to grind down a 1/4" weld at the bottom of the square tube on my hitch and just a bit of lint at the bottom of the receiver box for this unit to fit easily. However, I really like how it works. My hitch…

Quality Control Issues

This item came with a large burr on the inside of the holster that was interfering with the stock slot. I had to submit it, which took some time. A two second check at the factory would have fixed that. So three stars. Otherwise it makes a pretty solid impression. Additionally, when I assembled it, I found that it did not fit my 2021 Subaru Outback with a dealer-installed receiver, although Revain said it would fit my model. If you look at this, make sure you have enough space for the bumper…

Holds your stuff in place although it can bounce around

So I used this on a hitch mount for a dirt bike so the bike doesn't bounce around all over the place and it does a good job. However, this allows the clutch to swing from one extreme side to the other. No vertical up and down movement, but still able to move sideways, but that means it eliminates any twisting, which is terrible with bike hitch mounts or whatever, so it really does the job. Side to side rocking in extreme turns is normal because it is stable. It would be better to also have a…

Solid but needs modification for my application

Overall looks like a solid product. I haven't used it yet but will update its functionality when I do. I have to say that I didn't use it for its intended purpose. I have a 2014 Ram 2500 with a factory 2.5" receiver. I have a reducer that allows me to use a standard 2" mount. Since I have a 2.5" hitch I had to sanding the bottom of the clutch to match it, about 1/16" or so. I also had to modify the yoke itself, primarily because the factory welds on my Reese clutch didn't allow it to sit flush…

Heavy duty, strong as a rock. Ah, peace. No more knocking and rattling.

This is a durable product that combines a loose-fitting trailer and hitch combination, making it strong. I'm towing a Honda CRV behind my RV using a Blue OX hitch with a 2" shaft. The receiver on the camper had some play in the coupling seat. Nothing dramatic or dangerous, but the rumble and clank from the loose landing was unnerving as I rolled down the road in 25,000+ pound vehicles. Who needs extra distraction? Not me. Saw this available from Revain after reading about it on the RV forums…
