Much better than the more expensive mesh systems I've tried.

I have tried mesh networks from several different companies and they have given me poor results. I decided to try the MocA system and so far it's been great. I installed it in the farthest bedroom that got the least WiFi from the router in the office. I also set up a wireless access point in the same bedroom and plugged an ethernet cable directly into my computer. I get about 100Mbps less than if I plugged it directly into the router at the office. Excellent results, took about 5 minutes to…

Saved me a hundred dollars using cat6

Oh my god I had no idea I could use coax to hardwire my wifi router. I have coax cable that runs throughout my house, including my office and the room where my Ubiquiti WiFi router is located. The wireless router is on the other side of the house from my office, and I have an appointment with an electrician to come and lay out the route. cat6 from my router to my office as they are so far away. BUT I googled if I could use a coax cable and voila, this product showed up as an option. Ok, I…

It just works: Computers and Accessories

I originally wanted to buy them on the Canadian site Revain but they were double the price of the US site even with the exchange rate. I was charged as much for one device as the list price using the exchange rate for two devices. And you definitely need two devices for that. So the reference does not refer to the product or Hitron, but to Revain. Bad deal there. However, when I got the items shipped to Calgary from the Revain store in the US, they worked great. I've had them installed for…

Extremely useful in certain situations

When I moved into my current home, there were lots of coaxial cables connecting the point in the basement where the cable entered the house to all the main rooms and bedrooms. And luckily there were also plenty of Cat 5 cables left over from the house that plugged into old school phones and for some reason they used 4 wire Cat 5 twisted pairs instead of 2 wire phone cord. So I decided to use Cat-5 instead of coax for the network and also ran lots of new Cat-7 cables for new connectors and…

functions as described. Plug and Play

I have a Verizon Fios and wanted to upgrade my router to WiFi AX (WiFi 6). Verizon set-top boxes still use coaxial cable for some functions like menus and DVR control. So I bought it to connect ethernet from a quality pre-built router to this MoCA adapter. And once I get the Verizon router back, I won't have to pay rent anymore.

Turned off every few minutes.

I bought this to upgrade my FIOS installation to >100Mbps while still being able to use my existing coax cable. I connected them and at first glance everything looked great. Websites loaded instantly, and the speed test showed I was actually getting a lot more than my 200Mbps service (just over 300!). But after 5 minutes they stopped the traffic. I cycled all my network devices, same thing. Worked great for a few minutes and died again. I don't use splitters or anything like that, just a…

Works flawlessly. Ideal as an Ethernet backhaul

Works perfectly! I have a Mesh Wi-Fi system and I wanted to use MOCA 2.5 as an Ethernet backhaul. I didn't have to do much - I connected everything and the blocks themselves recognized each other. The WiFi mesh network has detected the Ethernet connection. And now with the main network I get almost the same speed (ping +2-4 ms, which is imperceptible in real use). Also I like this MOCA compared to other brands because of the design - neat box with all connections on the back. Note: My plan is…

It really works! Too fast

I use them to build a closed network of IP security cameras. They create a fast network environment and have a large bandwidth. Since using them I haven't had any falling cameras or videos. Also, the cameras are much more responsive to PTZ controls. Setup was easy too. I routed the power through the garage wall to the wire junction box. I connected a block in the cable box as the main cable path. Connected another one in my office as a single line connection. Worked right out of the gate. The…

So far, so good! Best in Network Products

After a bit of research I settled on this brand. I've never heard of Hitron, but looking at their website, it looks like Hitron is a huge company founded in 1986 and based in Taiwan. This immediately made me choose this product over other popular, unnamed, and possibly unsupported MoCa adapters. Well, today I received my order for 2 of these adapters and immediately installed them in a rented apartment. No setup was required and they started working right away. I have a pretty good internet…
