Far from basic needs and expectations

Barely works. Pliers are not compatible with boxed pig rings. Boring rings are NOT automotive quality. I had to use pliers and buy rings. Order quality elsewhere. I am sorry!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Very bad product in pliers sets

totally useless; will close the rings, twisting so tight that you need two hands to work. For those who unfortunately bought them, you can modify the pliers by cutting off 3/8" of each jaw (this allows you to close the rings).

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Nothing here

Pincers are as useless as nipples on a boar!

I should have listened, all the negative reviews are absolutely true, these things are useless but I bought them anyway because I thought my app was so simple they couldn't be that bad - ha, have you been! DO NOT repeat these things, DO NOT close the rings due to the useless design of the pliers.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out of style

Poorly designed pig tongs

This may seem like a good deal even if the tongs aren't very good. However, they are simply useless. The rings are very thin but they suit my application. The tongs just got thrown away after trying to use them for about 30 minutes. I have found regular needle nose pliers work much better. I used a quality set of hog pliers and they are well worth the money. This is a joke!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

He did his job

You get what you pay for. My dog ate the back seat belt in my car and I wanted to fix it. Unfortunately, this required removing the upholstery from the seat to gain access to the seat belt retractor. And that required replacing the "pig rings" that held the fabric in place. I'm glad I only had to do one seat. These pliers were very rough and did not hold rings securely - I dropped them many times! I also had to "tighten" most of the rings with needle nose pliers as they were never fully…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Suitable

It got the job done

You get what you pay for. I wanted to have it repaired. Unfortunately, this required removing the upholstery from the seat to gain access to the seat belt retractor.
