Towbar accessory plug-n-play kit

Easy installation with detailed instructions. Installation took less than 1 hour and it actually took longer to decide where best to position the plug than the installation! The kit is as close to plug-n-play as you can get. I highly recommend this kit to add a second 7 pin connector.

Pros
  • Beautiful thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

It worked great, there's not much to say.

It worked great nothing to say it's plug and play. Very well done. The cord is long enough to be attached anywhere on the bed, both front and back. It has been in the car for over a year and has been used regularly. I'm towing a camper with a fifth wheel. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • A little torn

Hopkins has done it again!

Hopkins did it again! The quality and ease of installation couldn't be better or easier. I bought Hopkins because I have used their product in the past and love them. The entire installation took less than 30 minutes, everything needed for the installation was included (except for the hole saw). Simple plug and play operation and a standard hole saw made this project quick and extremely easy. No special skills or tools are required other than a drill and a screwdriver. Thanks Hopkins for a…

Works great with exterior accessories

So I've put off this review until I've had a chance to pull my 5th wheel. It was very easy to connect to the truck's wiring. The worst part about the job was that I was using a hole saw for wood and found I had to go to a hardware store to buy a hacksaw. The lid is plastic and when the transfer case slid across the bed it cracked 1/2 finger. take off. It's my fault for not binding the case. However, this did not affect the tightness or function of the jack as it still seals and secures the…

Easy to install, works well.

I used to use an old Hopkins Lite-Mate in a Bronco and it worked great so I bought this one. It works just as well - plug in and go. Even matched the old Hopkins screw holes I had previously with custom wiring. The only issue I had was the length was way longer than I needed. My guess is that it needs to be long enough to get from the back to the jack next to the front of the pickup platform if you choose to put it there. Mine is way back in the bed so I had to drill a few holes under the bed…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some bugs

Fits, but not properly assembled

This is a quick and easy way to add a 7-pin connector without splicing or cutting the original wires, so this part is fine. One seal size for all wires, resulting in seals not protecting smaller wires from moisture or contamination. As a result, the seal cannot detect the core insulation. While the insulation/weather seals were not crimped properly, it appears that the seals were not installed on the ends of the stripped wires when they were inserted into the crimping tool to complete the…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

First off, Revane says it doesn't fit my 1999 Ford F350. Yes, that's right. Secondly, the installation is easy, apart from the holes in the back of the truck. Most people install it in front of the left rear wheel. The tourniquet won't fit through the hole, and I don't recommend making the whole thing any bigger. On the Ford, the end of the outlet is visible through the frame. Use some dielectric grease on the bushing. Please note that there is an O-ring for fork waterproofing. Be careful when…
