Unreliable and Unsafe Hitch for Automotive Needs

I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone looking for a dependable and safe towing solution for their automotive needs. The hitch is flimsy and doesn't hold up well. Installation is also difficult and time-consuming.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Unreliable, unsafe.

Do not buy this from Hitch Accessories

When your Highlander is ready to drive it will require a converter which is not included in this kit. I called the manufacturer and they couldn't help me and weren't interested in feedback about the mislabeling of the product. Do yourself a favor and buy from someone else.

Pros
  • It's ok!
Cons
  • old

Not everything you need even if you have a towbar.

Even if you have a hitch and your Highlander is pre-wired you still need a "converter" that fits under the dash. The Hopkins website itself is wrong and this part will cost you $150 from Toyota or $70 from Napa Auto.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Having trouble
