Installed on my boat. Sat in the sun all day. I can't remove the sticker to see the screen. I would remove it before installing, but I doubt it would be easier. The sticker stuck to the plastic screen.

I bought this hoping it would be as strong and reliable as my last Hummingbird from the early 1990's and I left it on the boat in all weathers. just stopped working this year and for a simple OS. It has worked well so far, which is why I got another one for my pontoon boat.

At this price I don't know how one can hope for more. The imaging technology is amazing and works great in my pond tramp. The downside pointed out in the previous review is that the menu needs to reset correctly every time, but that's just a few button presses. If you are looking for a simple but effective sonar for your car, kayak or boat on a lake/pond this is a win.

As said you can check the bottom and depths but it's not good for marking fish, you can compare the demo both with and without the fish icon and you won't be able to tell why it marks the fish (with the fish icon on). The icon is great for beginners, but as someone inexperienced you want to see the arcs, not the icon, and the resolution just isn't good enough for that.
