When assembling the fan, you can see that it is very well assembled. The fan is very quiet with great airflow. The light is comfortable and warm and seems adequate for a bedroom but may not be bright enough for a work area. I ordered 2 of these fans to cool a 15x14 room and a 13x12 room The instructions are very simple and it took me about 45 minutes to assemble the entire fan to assemble. The remote control works well, the sensor picks up without problems. The light easily illuminates the room with a nice bright glow that would be the equivalent of a 60w incandescent bulb. After I received the fan (took 2 days with Revain Prime) I unpacked the box and made sure all the parts were included and they were. I followed both the building instructions and the wiring instructions. Then I fixed it to the ceiling and turned on the circuit breaker. Everything worked. Easy to install if you already have a ceiling fan mount. Does not include remote reverse - to reverse it you must slide a switch in the globe housing. But it includes the simplest balancing set I've ever seen - a small plastic peg is used to move from blade to blade to find the best spot for the self-adhesive weight (I only needed one). Believe the negative reviews. The lights flickered constantly until I bought and installed two new LEDs and then just flickered sporadically out of the blue. Five months in it died all of a sudden. No amount of mating, checking tension, tightening wire nuts, etc. brought it to life. Hunter is no longer my favorite brand. This is an attractive ceiling fan that is easy to set up. I replaced the existing fan in the bedroom (the old one is shiny brass/oak) with this one and it looks great there. I have an 8 foot ceiling in this room and I used a standard pole that is only a few inches long.
