    Better than MJ1200

I upgraded my Nanocube 28 to Maxijet 1200 first. They burned out after a while on the breakwater. I replaced them with another set. You're burned out. The other burned out. After a while, MJs got pretty damn loud too. I hate that sound! I realized that every time they burned out I'd put that tiny Hydor pump in until I could spend another $30 or so to replace that mj1200 that everyone seems so enamored with. So I decided to look for an alternative after the 3rd or 4th pump burned out. i found…

The GPH is well above the best fish and aquatic animal rating

I compared the Hydor pico 300 to the Eco 264 at 290 GPH and the Maxijet 600 at 160 GPH. the quietest, but it's also a far cry from the 300-gallon rating. If you just put all 3 pumps in the water and watch the flow it's pretty obvious that the Eco 264 is moving a lot more water than the other 2. I also have a pair of Hydor Rotating Deflectors which have a rotation speed that is directly related to the flow of the water is related. Water moves over them. When I connected all the flow baffles…

Great little pump, great price and so far so good!

Just received and put in the tank today and the size and performance are perfect for my Fluval EVO 13.5. Still in the water. The head rotates 180 degrees so I can easily point it anywhere. You absolutely can't beat the size or price! I use it as a pump for my reef tank and combined with the original pump that came with the tank all my water circulates well and completely. This is exactly what I needed. The other complaints were about two things: it ended up making noise (only time will tell)…

Great little pump for low flow applications.

This is an excellent pump for low flow applications. I currently own two of them. One is in my 12 gallon (3ft) tank to distribute the CO2 to the back of the tank without creating excessive flow. He does his job very well. I hid it behind a rock and you wouldn't even notice if you didn't look for it. Another one I used in a homemade canister filter for a 2.2 gallon shrimp tank. It has enough power to effectively filter the water without sprinkling my shrimp down the backflow. I've seen several…
