Worth every penny for fish and aquatic animals

Bought for a 10 gallon frypot and works great. It has purified water and biological and mechanical filtration, which is a great advantage. It's a bit big for a 10 gallon tank but I don't care because I use it on a Jaguar Chiclid Fry and I don't care about the looks. It also comes with a carrier which is a big plus as some items are sold separately. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a sponge filter.

Clean aquarium water at last!

This completely cleaned my tank! I have struggled with muddy water in vain. I have tried everything, all Seachem and Fluval cloudy water treatments! I took a chance and got this, starting with the ceramic balls that came with the device and it worked amazingly. 2 days and the water is crystal clear. I liked it so much that I also bought it for my smaller tetra aquarium below. I have a dual outlet pump that can pump a 50 gallon aquarium and this filter and long bladder stone work fine. It is…

Everything is good except that it is difficult to connect it to the catenary. NON-RETURN VALVE REQUIRED. Not included.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well this filter cleans the water in my wife's 10 gallon aquarium where she overwinters goldfish from her pond. I expected the ceramic balls to start working in a couple of weeks. That may be true, but apparently even foam filters do something. I was also surprised at how much water flow came out of the air filter. The only downside is that the pipe to which the air line is to be connected has exactly the same outside diameter as a standard aquarium air hose. A…

I like them, but there are downsides.

I have two of these in my tail tank. They do an excellent job of maintaining water quality. They come with two sets of sponges so you can swap out a clean one for a used one to clean a used one. They are powered by an air pump and are only as aggressive as your air pump is powerful. My betta is 10 gallons with two of them on a powerful air pump and my water quality is excellent. Make sure you don't remove both sponges at once as this will destroy your biofilter :) Change one at a time to allow…
