Not for athletic wear. Material seems good

I like it if you have the right figure. It's great at the shoulders but too wide at the waist making it impractical in the water. The material seems good but underrated for the reason mentioned above.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Not the best

the best rashguard in the world

The best rashguard in the world, I stopped buying thin polyester rashguards, this is my third purchase, one as a spare and one for my son, I can wear all day and does not rub the skin. I wish they were white in color as it tends to get warmer under the midday tropical sun.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Very expensive

This is a 50/50 wet shirt which means half neoprene.

This is a 50/50 wet shirt, which is half neoprene and half swimsuit material. Bought for water aerobics to keep my shoulders warm. However, the half of the suit that is above the water is made out of swimsuit material, so I don't get hot on my shoulders. But the body of the shirt is warm.

Size chart is useless

Medium length for bust up to 40 inches. The average size from armpit to armpit is 17 inches. Chest? I sent the vest back. I didn't order a size bigger because the vest was too long for me. However if you can find the right size for you then this is a good product. I guess tall, lean men will be happy with a vest.

But it's much better than diving without a wetsuit

I train year-round at an outdoor pool in Florida. The water is "hot" but not quite warm. This gets rid of the chill when entering the water BUT you have to be aware that the sides and armpits are made of fabric so the water gets in and gets cold for a second. But it's much better than going into the water without a wetsuit. This makes going to the pool more bearable.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Fixes what I dislike about swimming.

In general, it lived up to its name 50/50 and my expectations. It keeps you warm (rashguards don't), but it's not a wetsuit. I'm 5ft 9in, 150lbs and the size chart gave me an average size which is what I ordered. It fits well but will unravel a little if it treads water. It also allows water to flow between my skin and the neoprene sections at times, but is still much warmer than without. Out of the water it was snug fitting (not tight like a second skin) and was great at blocking wind and…

The best idea for summer surfing.

This is the second time I've bought one of the Hyperflex 50/50 wetsuits and I love wearing them in the summer. They are super flexible with stretch panels on the sides and smooth neoprene on the front and back. It's just the right amount to be durable and windproof, yet flexible enough to move very easily. The only issue I had with this particular vest when it came out was that the sleeves felt much larger than the rest of the body and the fit elsewhere was spot on for an American 2xl. I would…

Exceeded Expectations

I was vacationing in San Diego earlier this year and decided to grab something that would help with both the water temperature and wind chill, and provide some extra protection from the sun. Boots. At this time of year, the water temperature in the Pacific Ocean is around 60 degrees, while the average air temperature for the high places reaches the mid 70 degrees (at least when we were there). It can feel like July, provided you're active enough at the beach. I spent a lot of time on a…
