More transparent than white, prints great

More transparent than white, like frosted glass. I was able to use this to make a block that discharged a bunch of LEDs for an electronics project I was working on. It was also really cool to see the internal support structure on the large prints. Extruded at 210ยฐ on a 60ยฐ bed with my Taz 5. This is my 3rd roll of IC3D PLA and no problems so far.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • No automatic printing

Filament is very brittle

Please update your review below about the very brittle filament. The company recently contacted me and said I received a bad batch and sent a replacement. This raised them from 2 to 4. Any company will have problems, but it's nice to find a company that is actively solving the problem. So the IC3D filament is very brittle, I only used about 1/4 spool and it broke at least 1/2 dozen times. How fragile will the items I craft be? I will not buy again.

Pros
  • Additive manufacturing products
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

This is a really great thread. I only use it in my Lulzbot.

This is a really great filament. I only use it in my Lulzbot Taz5. It has excellent thermal performance and consistently produces reliable prints. Only once (of many repeat purchases) have I received a poor quality spool of filament. I could tell it wasn't normal quality as the surface of the thread was matte and not shiny as usual. Being an optimist I tried it anyway and it sealed my nozzle pretty quickly. Lesson learned: I shouldn't have tried this when I knew it probably wouldn't work. Atโ€ฆ
