Ignition Switch Key Polaris Keyswitch Review

Direct replacement fits my 2014 Ranger although the key is definitely super cheap and not as reliable as the factory key. Looks easy to manipulate. But because of their construction, it is crucial for honest people to remain honest.

Bought for my 2018 Ranger XP900 team. connects and turns the starter, but does not turn on the fuel pump in the starting position. Getting the engine to rev, then letting it go into the run position and trying to catch the fuel pump fast enough to start was a crappy shot. Bought an OE switch for 10x the money.

This was a direct replacement for the ignition switch on a Polaris Sportsman 500 that was the victim of a thief. There was no key and they tried to start it with a screwdriver and destroyed the original ignition switch. It was a simple plug and play replacement once you opened up the headlight assembly. The lock nut on the old derailleur was fairly tight but eventually loosened with a couple of locks.

03/11/2019 - The spare part arrived quickly and well packaged. The ignition switch was a perfect match for my 2009 Polaris TrailBoss 330. It was very easy to replace. I didn't even have to disassemble anything on the ATV. I simply unscrewed the lock nut, pulled the switch back through the plastic panel, unplugged the electrical connector, plugged in the new switch, and pushed the new switch back into the plastic panel. Ordered this switch for a 2002 Polaris Ranger Series 11, 500 4x4. 2850 hours. It is a 3 position switch to make the light work. Received in less than 48 hours. Installed in 12 minutes.
