Description of 🔧 High-Quality Urethane Band Saw Tire 2 Pack for Jet and Grizzly Models – 14x1x.095 – Made in the USA

Choosing the right equipment for your projects plays a significant role in the quality of your work. With band saws it is equally important to choose the right parts and accessories to make your machine run smoothly and without issue. Whether you’re a carpenter, contractor or even a skilled craftsman, your band saw is one machine that you need to run smooth and true. From improved performance and safety to reduced downtime, urethane band saw tires provide many advantages over factory tires and rubber or plastic replacement tires. Urethane band saw tires most certainly outlast rubber band saw tires and plastic band saw tires. Urethane band saw tires will not dry rot like rubber or plastic tires. This alone provides you with an exceptional value over other types of band saw tires. Another advantage of urethane tires over rubber is that no adhesive is needed for proper installation. Urethane tires can be stretched to fit and are specifically designed to stay in place without any type of adhesive. This makes these tires even easier to install and even easier to remove if necessary. Whether you’re setting up a new saw or replacing the tires on an old saw, the urethane tire installation process is quicker and easier for increased productivity and efficiency. All of this improves blade tracking and extends the life of your blade. Not only that, the tires are bright orange, which makes them super easy to inspect and they come with a lifetime warranty on the welds. This is a two tire set of Quality Urethane Band Saw Tires 14′′ diameter x 1′′ wide x .095′′. They are designed to be installed on any 14′′ band saw that requires a 1′′ wide and 3/32′′ thick tire. The actual wheel diameter can be 13-1/2′′ to 14-1/2′′ in diameter. Made in the USA and can be trimmed to fit if needed.

So far so good. fits accessories

So far I like these. I was concerned because the material didn't feel or look like my last pair of urethane tires. I heated them in water as the You Tube video suggests (which in hindsight the instructions say you don't have to) they installed very easily. I thought they might slip off as they seemed a bit loose but so far they are working fine. I'm only giving 4 stars for durability as I haven't used it for a long time.

Fits well, works well.

Installed on my JWBS-14CS without much trouble. Seems to be of good quality, I hope it will last for many years. The old black factory tire lasted about 10 years, took a lot of cuts and then suddenly stretched so it slid right off the top wheel and got too big to hold. I've always decocked the blade when not in use, usually with 1/4" and 1/2" blades, so I suspect the old tire just exceeded its expected service life/material life.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • not reliable

Tight fit - do not heat!

The tires are very firm. The instructions say DO NOT heat the tire and use zip ties to make installation easier (see photo). I did just that, and the zip ties made it easy to install. The width was too wide in one piece to fit the recess in my bandsaw wheel. Not sure if it was a wheel or a tire, maybe a wheel. In any case, I had to cut about 1/16 inch down the side of a tire, which wasn't easy given the thickness of the tire, but I was able to do it cut.

Poor fit after a few rides

So I replaced my trucks with our Rickon 14-325 with these awful trucks. After running the bandsaw for about 2 months I noticed trucks pulling out of my house which caused my saw blades to move with a few jolts. I just broke the blade for the fourth time. At first I thought my wife was just putting the blade in a difficult position, but the last blade broke and she didn't cut anything. She noticed that the blade wobbled and then broke in two places. Don't waste your money and buy something else.

Great fit! best saw blades, parts and accessories

They fit my jet JWBS-14DXPRO perfectly. You do NOT have to use hot water! I hand stretched my bands a bit before putting them on, then worked them up starting at the top and working both sides at the same time with my hands, stretching the band as I went. I didn't need hot water or any tools. Once I had the straps on and lined up the trailing edges in the wheel groove, I pushed back part of the leading edge until it sat, then took the smooth, round butt. end of a small screwdriver and pressed…

It actually fits the 14 " Jet Bandsaw

Some reviews mention that the Jet needs trimming or that the bar doesn't fit in the channel. If you just leave the hoop in the channel, its hair will be wider and you might be concerned. However, after you stretch it around the entire wheel, that extra width is gone and it fits perfectly. You may have to tighten that last few inches by hand, but stretching makes the belt narrower (as it should be) and the result is perfect. Be sure to remove the wheels from the saw to fit new tires. This allows

Incorrect description: Tires are BIG and won't fit my bandsaw wheels

At first glance they are excellent. However, when I installed them on my bandsaw, I found that they were NOT 1000 inches wide. They don't appear to be exactly the same size, but the first one I tried to fit was 1.03 inches wide. Despite the fact that this is a very small distance (only an error of 0.3%), even after stretching and leaving the tire mounted (the wheel for the night in a heated room), it was still not possible to plant it. Although I probably CAN perform some "operations" with a…
