This is not the black whistle you can buy at the hardware store. It looks like half the thickness of an ordinary black tube. I only bought them because I didn't want to drive myself.

The only bad review I read about this product was that the handle didn't match the mounting plates. I must have received the boxes he sent back. We received three boxes and the threads on the mounting plates were about half the size needed so they didn't fit. Don't waste money. These return.

Both grips came with different finished sizes making it impossible to fit and screw on. Quality control failed this kit and unfortunately I paid for it. I sent them back and ordered a different pen. Don't waste your time and don't even risk getting the wrong part.

Handle does not fit mounting plate. I will return this product if I cannot get the correct size mounting plates. I returned the product and received a new one within 2 days. But the mounting plate is still too small for mounting on the handle. I don't understand how an item can be shipped with parts that don't match.

You can probably go to a hardware store and buy black whistle parts and make your own grips, but the black whistle will leave a mark on your hands if you don't finish it. They are fully finished (painted) to fix this problem. Everything is included to hang them up, use them as a doorknob (barn door) or use them as a shower safety handle like I did. Worth the purchase price.

Poor quality product, wrong size and definitely not what its description would lead you to believe. Although these whistles are painted black, they are not black iron whistles. It's cheap aluminum. The tubes are half inch but were supplied with quarter inch mounting flanges which will not fit, see photo. The product is cheap, useless and not worth the price. I have started a refund and will definitely not order from this misleading seller again.
