Great for those looking to reduce coil waste

I bought this because the thread color I wanted was only available without a spool at my local micro center. I needed it for work so I bought this reusable holder. From now on I buy thread without a spool and use this product. It works great and is so easy to take apart and add filament. The reduction of plastic waste is very important to me, so I won't just throw away the superfluous empty spools now.

Pros
  • It's OK!
Cons
  • disappears

I can't seem to print anything without clogging

I thought it was perfect. I already had an empty spool to reuse, but it doesn't seem to last more than 8 hours without clogging. The first picture is a partial blocking of the textbook. It even clears up to the top of the print, but then reverts to a partial clog. The bottom half of the print is pretty good and definitely worth the $15 I paid, but honestly if it keeps clogging I'll only spend $30 to never have to worry about clogs.

Pros
  • Sturdy surface
Cons
  • Was damaged

Inconsistent thickness will result in unsuccessful prints.

I've been using eSun PLA Pro for about a year but refill prices keep going up. It looked like an opportunity to get a similar product and save a few bucks a roll. The spare coil was only in a single pouch (the eSun was in a double pouch) and the coil winding was noticeably weaker than the eSun. Performance is the same as eSun filament, no adjustments were needed to get good prints. Unfortunately, I used half of the first spool and had three print failures due to bulging in the filament. It is…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
