🍲 Instant Pot IP-POT-SS304-60: Authentic 6 Quart Stainless Steel Inner Cooking Pot Review

According to the product description suitable for IP-LUX60 6 qt. I ordered it because I thought it would be nice to have a second pot. The pot I received was too big. The packaging says the pot is 6kw, but it's too tall. Will return.

I was disappointed to learn that this one has thinner walls. I weighed the original and this bowl and it is 65 grams lighter than the original bowl that came with the unit. An original box says it weighs 840 grams, but that's not even close. Weighs 468 grams. Really cheap and unexpected from Instant Pot given its originality.

I'm not 100% sure if this is an original. The pot is not the same size as the original pot. This pot is slightly larger and 1/4-1/2 inch thinner than my original pot. This allows the pan to move around in the machine. The lid is still sealed but I think they would have been exactly the same size if this was real. I'm "outside my return window" otherwise I would probably return it.

The stainless steel Instant Pot works great and we bought a glass lid for it to slow cook/keep warm and store leftovers. We now use our old non-stick bowl for freezing food, so the bags freeze in the shape of a pressure cooker instead of freezing flat.

After a few uses the kettle started falling apart at the bottom! Not sure if it's because the pan can't take the heat or if it's just a defect (looks like it melted and started separating). I trust the Instant Pot brand so I assume this is just an anomaly. On the plus side I love my Instant Pot and also have a non-stick inner pot which is a really nice accessory.

After reading the negative reviews that I had bought anything other than the stainless steel inner chamber of the Authentic Original Instant Pot I was suspicious, a replacement part for my IP to order. I was relieved to find that what I received is identical to the original - not a bad fit, not cheap metal, not wrong size. Actually replace the poor quality internal pots. I am very happy with what I received.

This stainless steel inner pot fits in my 8 liter pressure cooker. Although it was advertised as such on the Revain website, upon my review it turned out that the labeling of the pot's internal volume for cups, liters, etc. is not present like the one that came with the instant pot. All markings show 1/2 and 2/3 Max. I guess I don't understand why the manufacturer removed the measuring function if it's so useful in cooking? I think it should be printed.

Unfortunately, my first Instant Pot fell and dented the rim. I needed a new one and was hesitating between this and nonstick. In the end, I opted for the stainless steel version again. I've had so much success and I love that I don't have to worry about scratching anything when I have to deglaze the pan.
