fits perfectly on the head, good breathability

my husband is new to welding. after long reviews. he chose this welding mask. He likes light weight, easy fold down with a nod. and spruce is good. He also commissions a sports tape. because he started breaking out because the sweat got under the plastic band.

Pros
  • ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • i will write later

Not bad for the price.

Received the first one and couldn't adjust the sensitivity. Auto dimming was easily toggled on and off like a strobe light. Tried new battery, no effect. Got a replacement right away and it seems to be working fine. Very comfortable compared to my old heavy helmet. This is by no means a premium helmet but works well for the "casual" welder.

Good helmet but with small controls.

Everything is fine, but the sticker came with a defect and did not stick to the helmet in one place. But it seems to work, good for the head. The dial to adjust the darkness is almost impossible, you have to take off your gloves and use your fingernail to turn the dial, which is very tight and difficult to turn either way. For this basic setting, the helmet must of course be removed from the head. He needs a big grip that is easier to handle with gloves.

  • Great price

Out of the box problem

So to be fair I'm trying to fix the problem right now but out of the box the helmet is comfortable and easy to put on. I checked the old light bulb at home, there are no problems, it works fine. This is where the good ended today. I went to the store, punched and bent, and once I finished the run, the helmet didn't leave the car in the dark. Changed the sensitivity and delay settings, nothing, cycling the mode switch brings the screen out of auto-dimming, but once the arc strikes it returns to…

It kind of works with the head guard

I'm new to TIG welding and needed a new cap first. I bought it because it got pretty good reviews. I could never get it to work properly, it would flash up and down during welding if the intensity dropped at all, and even on the darkest settings I would get retinal burns. I bit the bullet and bought the more expensive Miller Digital Elite and this hood/helmet worked 100% better straight away, no more retinal burns. I'll admit that as a newbie to TIG welding, I could make mistakes with this…

Not perfect, not bad, worth the money.

I had the hood for 9 months and it didn't break. The hood has a bit of a problem adjusting the knobs tight to hold it up or loose to let it fall off easily. I still haven't been able to adjust it to stay open without shifting and still be able to pull it down. But for what it's worth, the rotary knobs are a minor issue that should be overlooked. Works great for Mig and Tig welding and has good vision. Has adequate ventilation to prevent fogging when the SoFlo heats up. It does fog up after a…

Bad article. There is no spring in the headgear position selector.

When I opened the helmet my first thought was that it looks good, then I took the packaging further and saw a warped plastic headband, I'll sign off a little and write that I've been sitting for a long time in the box. But then read the instructions to understand how to set it up and work with it. I have to adjust how close your head is to the screen and the right side worked as intended, but the left side is missing the spring that pushes the plastic tab through the headband to snap it in…
