Confusing usage! for tools and equipment

Upgraded my car's air conditioning but was very unsure of which and where to use it! I think I finally figured it out and everything works fine. The instructions said the R12's high side mount could be unbolted, but that didn't happen on my 1988 Chevy c1500!

Everything I needed to make my Japanese car livable.

Everything I need to make my jumpcrap car livable in 100 degree heat. There was even a sticker saying it was changed. Make sure you vacuum the system and make sure the system doesn't work. t lick before you fill it. You may also need to replace O-rings and seals!

As advertised. on Tools & Equipment

Did its job perfectly. Replacing my sons 89 Chevy C-1500 A/C with R-134A. worked fine It's been blowing cold for 6 weeks now. Very happy with this kit. Just make sure you have the new Schrader valves (the right ones). The high side is unique. 8 ounces of PAG oil in a clean system and you blow stone cold. Standard cabin too. 36 ounces. freon. I blew 45 degrees when I did it. It also included a new A/C compressor, throttle tube and battery. Cute!

Great quality but didn't fit my car.

I ordered these thinking there were two different lengths on the bottom. The long adapter makes it impossible to use a quality valved quick release adapter on the faucet as there isn't enough room on my '89 Deville with the shock tower. However, you can install a cheap A/C charge hose with a built-in pressure gauge on the low-pressure side. But I don't know how to put a connector there to siphon the system. So it doesn't work well with late 80's/early 90's Cadillac DeVille/Fleetwood. You will…

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • boring packaging

1991 Toyota pickup rebuilt and running.

Used to upgrade my 1991 Toyota pickup from R-12 to R-134. Due to the age of the car, I didn't bother with other trim changes. I was lucky that the original air conditioning worked without leaks. After refueling with R-134, the air conditioner, which hadn't worked for 6 years, started blowing cold air. I wanted to look at some of the "conversion oil" systems but ended up giving the truck away to a relative. I have brought the update to his attention and if he has any issues I can come back and…
