Excellent KVM, worth the money.

I needed a new KVM because my old 2-port module, which was also starting to fail, was obsolete. My dad uses this model and said he likes it a lot so I decided to give it a try. I love it! I've been using it for almost 5 months now and I'm hesitating between 2-3 PCs. It works flawlessly and reliably every time and has audio switching which my old KVM didn't have. [My father has been using it on 4 computers for several years with no problems.] Some people have complained about the proprietaryโ€ฆ

Good product with limited functionality and BAD support

I bought the GCS1734 after my old GCS124U didn't work with my newly added wireless mouse. I immediately had problems starting the GCS1734 via hotkeys. The Num/Caps/Scroll lights on my Belkin keyboard were blinking, the GCS1734 would not reset. This only works manually with a keyboard connected via the rear USB ports, but then there's no hotkey functionality. I contacted "support" where they basically gave me an apology. that "emulation" is not guaranteed for all keyboard brands. When askedโ€ฆ

Great KVM switch

Great switch. All of the cables on the side of the computer are on the back, making it much more convenient than other designs that have cables exiting from all sides. The console's keyboard and mouse ports are located on the front panel. Just ignore them and connect your keyboard and mouse to the rear USB ports. Works flawlessly. I have four Dell servers connected to this KVM. I tied the audio pigtails with loops so they wouldn't get tangled up with other cables. The switch is real. Mouse andโ€ฆ

  • Sad packaging

I had an IOGear 2-port KVM switch, but with a third computer I needed something bigger. It looked like it would work. This works well once set up, but there are a few things to keep in mind: 1) The cables that come with it are quite bulky. If it's a desktop setup like mine, leave plenty of desk space for all those bulky cables. 2) This only works with wired keyboards and mice. I had wireless, but none of the computers I had (all Win10 computers) recognized USB connections. It wasn't until Iโ€ฆ

Good concept, poor implementation on my device - UPDATE!

I needed a new KVM + USB hub. I work with 3 computers and switch between them regularly. My old KVM was defective, it was 3 years old and only cost me $15 on ebay. The switch started to fail and I figured I'd buy one that uses hotkeys and fix this problem. Anyway, I bought and set up an IoGear GCS1734. The first thing I did was go to the website, register the switch and download the latest update. I started the update and the software tells me my device has a newer version than the one Iโ€ฆ

Decent KVM Switch in External Components

I bought this product because I need a KVM switch that has independent audio switching, wireless USB keyboard/mouse support, VGA monitor support and ports for at least 3 computers. Pros: - Supports 4 computers - Switches sounds independently of other hardware. Cons: - Unreliable switching for my wireless keyboard/mouse - When placed vertically, the unit keeps wanting to pop out of the included stand simply due to the weight of the cables attached - It's not an intuitive unit. To get started, be

A step down from PS-2, some keyboard/mouse issues

wireless mouse. It seems to work, but it's a step backwards from the old KVM. The hotkeys are more complex and some keyboards are not supported. The old PS-2 KVM used a quick double tap of the left or right control button to switch monitors. Simple and easy to do with a guitar or stylus in the other hand. It would be great if IOGEAR kept this hotkey combo in their new products, but they didn't. The new USB KVMP hotkey sequence consists of four keystrokes with three different keys and requiresโ€ฆ
