Jaw will not open to 1/2 inch.

The sizing is misleading here - I confirm the jaws do not open to 1/2 inch. This is the kid's version of the big one. This does not work with 1/2 taps.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

This product does not match the description

I received this product and it does not match the description. The description clearly shows the central part in the form of a drop and the inscription "Made in the USA". This is the Chinese version of this product.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Kitted Handles faucet handle upgrade

I got this because the faucet handles I have that came with the tap and die sets I had were lackluster in their features. This faucet handle is far superior to these. Smooth operation and keeps tight. I like change!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Save your money - adjustable wrenches

Cheese-grade steel, when it really is steel. Strongly disappointed. The first time I tried to cut a 1/4-20 aluminum tap, the tool twisted and warped where the tool met the tap. The handle is also slightly bent due to turning pressure. Worse than the ones that came with the Tap and Die. "irwin" is not written anywhere on the instrument.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

False advertising of better hand tools

Advertised as compatible with taps up to ½ inch. In fact, it is compatible with faucets up to ¼ inch. This is totally unacceptable! If you need ¼ inch or less this tool seems to do the trick. But for my case where I need ⅜ inch I just wasted my money. just too massive an oversight.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Not ready for prime time

While available, this key is no fun. Knurled knobs are very slippery due to too much chrome on the tool or very worn equipment used to make the tool. Because of this (or maybe because the thread is too rough) it won't tighten and you have to keep checking because the faucet keeps falling out. Decent price for one-off work, but again, no fun.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
